https://coderaga.com/

Curated ragas that supposedly do wonders for your focus—each raga’s got its own mathematical note patterns that tap into different brainwave states.- Time-based selection (morning/afternoon/evening) so you’re in sync with your circadian groove. - Pomodoro timer with 30/60/120-min options, because you know a little structure can go a long way. - No vocals—just soothing instruments like sitar,...

Re:Tell HN: Exercism needs donations to survive 2023 on Friday January 20, 2023 @04:46AM (#34450851)
I think it would help a lot if any of the tech influencer is asked to do a charity run for exercism. There are lot of tech youtubers which can provide a much needed exposure and can bring in a lot of donation.

Hey Jason, would also like the idea to have a lifetime subscription model for working folks who can use the platform based on time availability.
Thanks a lot man !!!
Hey how to enroll here ? seems like oriented towards university students mostly.
This is a gem!!
Man, it has page wide reading view, It's not at all good UX in any means.
Hey man any coupons for developers from India?
I tried codecrafter but it has too much of a jump without providing any guidance or anything for a person who might not have much knowledge about building complex projects.

I really love the idea of building small projects where you conquer one problem at a time.

As an idea there could be nothing better than codecrafter but i would like some additional reading material / guidance in terms of moving forward when you are stuck.

If i am doing something wrong let me know, would love to know how can i tackle these kinda problems.

Re:Ask HN: How to Deal with ADHD? on Thursday June 02, 2022 @04:16AM (#31592625)
You have to be absolutely true to yourself and honest about the things that distracts you.

And you have to put system in place to stop things that distract you.

- I am using blockers on my laptop and my mobile because these are the two things i interact the most with.

I used to heavily browse youtube during the day and in evening used to have a lot of work which used to get pushed to the weekend. I got sick of this and then i started blocking everything for during 9am to 7pm.

Apart from that look for other things which sucks energy out of you. And add few things that gives you extra energy.

Few things that gives energy could be - Gymming - Evening Walk - Taking a shower - Short nap

I am using "Cold Turkey Blocker" on my Laptop and "Stay Focused" on my phone. It has reduced the time i spent distracted and thus i've gained bit more time for productive things.

Re:Ask HN: What game do you wish existed? on Wednesday May 25, 2022 @11:23AM (#31505872)

Hey man, can you generate a Youtube music playlist too ?
I would love to have a similar course done on debugging and TDD. I think most of the time what TDD course teach is how to right test but they skip on what is a meaningful test?
