I have been using Kagi for years. I use the family plan for my wife and I. I love it and will continue to use it until it either gets bad, they sell it, or get an ipo. There is no noise.
Google, to me is just filled with noise. I used to love the innovation and used many of their products. Their search is now filled with ads and you no longer get good results, in my opinion. Their AI will also have ads:

Kagi is refreshing, the results have gotten very good. Occasionally there have been poor results with items at the top that should not have been, but I have noticed that it has been corrected quite quickly. Kagi does not retain any of your search terms nor does Kagi Assisstant. To me, Kagi gives me results like google used to, there are No ads, and they do not retain your search terms. I will gladly pay for that.

Hello, I am a High School Teacher in The Northeast United States. I have a student who is quite good at programming. Going on to college to pursue a Computer Science Degree is not what he is interested in doing right now. He expressed an interest in going to a coding boot camp. I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good camp that might possibly lead to a job. I am open to...
I concur on Kagi. Now when I go to other search engines I just get frustrated.
Wouldn't extensive comments alleviate this? Older appliances used to come with schematics and manuals so you could fix them.
Does it matter with the release of all the CIA Hacking information just released?
Yes, I really do not like that this polluted my google watched history.
If you go back in time cable used to be something you paid for not to have ads. Now look at us dumb folk, paying for cable/satellite and paying to see ads. Books are also filled with ads - if they mention a product by name - most likely it is placed there - American Psycho wow could not get past a page mentioning some list of products...
Am in the process of switching....
Just really sick of all the online drama, about any site. Just another typical post on HN criticizing another. You know what, You go build a site that is better and perfect. I am sick of people getting articles posted that just criticize. Go build something better, I dare you.
I feel like the title of this is a lie as the article states something different. I hate being lied to and manipulated.
