This blog post was a missed opportunity for Gemini: Ideally, the blog post should have been by-lined as "written by Gemini" (with no human intervention besides prompting). Even better - the attached video shows the blog post being generated.
From the article: "Teams can’t wear cream anymore because it interferes with the digital ads that are placed on the court in broadcast due to the uniforms being so close to the color of the wood that is keyed out in the process."

“Hey! Do you write originals?”
This initial question should have been a tip off.
I responded to this request to message me that came via Instagram with “What else would I write?”
Then came the pitch… I was being asked to write song for the questioner’s son’s birthday, which was next week. Just a simple 2 minute birthday song which will have his name mentioned lol

Hi HN:First of all, yes, I obviously know a wiki could serve this purpose, but I'm a fan of static sites due to performance, scale, and security.I am looking at building a site that is essentially a wiki: it will accepts crowd sourced edits and page updates. However, I'd also like to manage content change requests via git and deploy via Netlify.Ideally, the architecture I'd prefer is:Content...

Why specifically would you "never ever give control of blog to a 3rd party"?
I've used Wordpress for a number of projects myself. Curious: For your use case, do you find the ease of use of WordPress' content tooling to outweigh the time needed to deal with security, updates, and deployment (especially since you self-host?)
Are you deploying via Netlify, with Hugo versions stored in Git?

I'm curious as to what platforms the HN community are using for external facing company blogs (to post news, opinion, marketing material, engineering posts etc). Obvious choices include Medium or the blogging features of a static site system (such as Jekyll + Netlify). What else?In 2019, what blogging platforms are people using, and why?

The YouTube API's official public issue tracker (accessible via a link from the official docs stating "Something wrong? Send us a bug report!") is teaming with fake posts, spam, and blank entries.

I've been an entrepreneur for years, and when I got started, I wasn't free of debt, and I wasn't "the right" age. However, I don't disagree that a certain amount of affluence and particular set of circumstances are huge contributors to entrepreneurial success.
Did not realize this was a problem :-)

+1 for Datagrip, use it everyday
As someone who has made a similar, internal checklist, I find this to be well-done. A good primer for someone who is starting their own Saas company, and is interested in understanding the scope of what it takes to implement best practices as a CTO.
I've been looking at something like this to host a landing page for a book I wrote years ago. Great work, I'll give it a try.
Lack of tooling integration is one of the most challenging things about using services like yours in production. "Whipping something up" is not something I want my eng team doing. Having built a system where customers want a similar integration, I understand how difficult it is to provide!
Why, specifically, do you want to move into Product Management?
To answer one of your questions: Age doesn't matter.
I've become more and more interested in mailing lists as entrepreneurial tools - what are some of the most popular mailing list platforms for premium list projects?
> Ask to see their CI dashboard and PR comments over the last few days
This is fantastic advice.
