Re:Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (April 2026) on Monday April 13, 2026 @01:23AM (#47747921)
I built a local tool that uses ollama to transcribe my handwritten journal pages into obsidian pages.

I'm also just working on my game, Antorum Online. Made with Rust and Unity. https://antorum.online

I've been working on this game Antorum Online for almost a decade now, writing about it the entire time. It's not fully released yet, and might never be much of anything, but it's one of those mega projects that I just love building.I figured I've never posted it to HN and it might be neat to get some feedback or new readers. Thanks!

Fond memories using this back in my computer architecture class. I think "spim -b" is forever ingrained in my mind.

Thanks for the inspiration. I just thought I'd say that your game is adorable.

I just recently released a tiny game as well (http://declanhopkins.com/asteroid-quest/), but it was only put on my website and I made it in a month. Regardless, it felt really good to get a game out after years of trying. I'm working on a new version of it now.

SEEKING FREELANCER - Buffalo, NY - Remote works just fine

We're looking for an iOS developer to do some work on our app.

Please email a resume and any extra information we may need (a github or bitbucket profile, perhaps) to [email protected].

Thanks!

Re:Not Everyone Needs to Learn How to Program on Tuesday February 09, 2016 @11:04PM (#11070691)
That is a very good point.

However, programming, while a valuable skill in and of itself, sacrificing more fundamental academics in order to make room for it isn't the way to go.
