News for hackers. Stuff that matters.

That's amusing - I initially read this as "Judge denies Harry Potter's plea to throw out all-in-one printer lockdown lawsuit."

I used one of those in the past and it was a great subject of interest in my interviews.

They thought I hacked Github or something. Good time :)

From someone who's curious, why would the concept of "checks and balances" appear juvenile? Do you find it represents an ideal without possible application in the real world? Genuinely interested in hearing the why behind your statement.
link works for me

This is the type of website I would want to show up in marginalia
Wow, I never knew HN downvotes could make a comment near impossible to read.

"Frying of the nuts" has been in the changelog quite some time.
Can you share where you got that number from? Is it in one of their recent keynotes ?

thanks

What a cool language!

I would never want to dilute HackerNews comments but on the Internet you really have no idea how you impact people. Thanks for making me smile, have a good day :)

Only on HN do I expect a formalization of loneliness. I'm not complaining.
The "Hacker News Hug of Death" is now 1 concurrent user at a time.

What a time to be alive :)

I think the intention is to offer an ultimatum. proof of organization and the threat of an extended loss.
interested to hear why you mod for a subreddit like that
Both of us have been satisfied
I have a picture of myself with about 22 encyclopedias in the back of a van. Memories I would pay millions to see in Video/VR.
Agreed. It's the same for me, along with the value I place on my own comments :)

But the number of times I've combed over the Internet only to find myself in an obscure Reddit thread to find the most astounding of answers is astounding in and of itself.

I'd urge those considering to take additional time before making such a move.

Maybe for you. Those girls were genuinely interested in my thoughts on philosophy.
I really wish more blogs took on this creative approach. it's hard but such an excellent presentation style. IMO it's the best form of sharing information online
thanks for the chuckle
If this was any other place on the internet, I probably wouldn't bother because it's usually useless (but this is hackernews, so ill try)

Jews don't in fact control the united states of america or a subset of it's government.

Jews don't control the world either.

They have various views on issues, politics, and culture. They're found in places all around the world, and like any other group you'll find good and bad. To say they control the U.S.'s foreign policy seems ignorant to me and based on an anti-semetic trope.

EDIT: grammar

One might want to take a look at the following Dewey Lecture by Tom Nagel:

> I heavily prioritized female investors. Every time a (male) investor converted, I asked them to help me find female investors.

This is the text I'm seeing on my chrome /mobile android browser, would be funny if we were being shown different versions, but it seems as if you might have made a mistake there.
