https://harada.app
I built HaradaPlan to help people turn big goals into actionable plans using the Harada Method – a Japanese goal-setting framework that breaks one main goal into 8 key areas and 64 specific tasks. The app features:
• AI-powered plan generation (just describe your goal, AI fills in the 64 cells)
• Interactive grid editor with auto-save
• AI coach to help refine your plan
• Community sharing with...
back in the day , started my first job as intern (VC++ dev) and I was so excited to get a stack of MSDN CDs for reference.
This is elegant. Shows the passion that goes into building some thing that looks so beautiful and easy to integrate.
I just got one installed last month in middle of winter at my home in New England.
The air from heat pump feels more comfortable than the dry air from the furnace.
I got installed with a the furnace back-up option, that way if the heat-pump can't generate the heat, it switches to propane (it becomes very cold here in New England in Winters). From my experience, the heat pump is working well in 30F and above weather (-1.C)
Heat pumps burn a lot of electricity, luckily I have solar to off-set that cost, although Solar generation is low in Winter, it adds up well over the year.
Heat Pumps + Solar is the way to go.
on some what related:
Immigrant parents (first gen) mostly 'think'/their internal monologue in their own mother tongue/language. The kids mostly born in the US like the rest of the "English" native speakers have their internal thinking/monologue (brain speak if you will) is in English.
This adds to an interesting conversation, sharing nuances, inside jokes etc.

Mid-career dilemma: MBA - Yes or No?Hey everyone! I'm at a crossroads in my career and could use your valuable input. As a 41-year-old Principal Software Engineer with significant experience in delivering complex projects and leading engineering teams, I'm contemplating whether pursuing an MBA is the right move.I've had some good successes with start-ups, running tech consulting business. But...
This is the right take ! The pandemic hiring overall was all mostly ‘E-commerce’ driven.
Which tech skills? Full stack? Backend? any speciality skills?
1) Tail end of the year - its hard to get full time roles , The hiring definitely picks up after Jan 2nd week or so.
2) Try consulting/contracting - That space is still brimming w hiring. Much faster on-boarding /hiring.
I think the point is -- its a headset that's so easy to use or just slide up on your head if you don't need .
I do see the value in this. Especially for folks trying to add some cool react widgets without doing the full dev - specially for some old code-base. Respect!
Really cool . Reminds me of the VR collaboration project (Dance Tonite) by Google Data arts team and LCD Sound System

Every morning after shower and just before the work starts or I go to work. I sit before the small temple (bookcase) in my home. Light a lamp and an incense; and a short prayer - sit in a mindfulness state - asking for blessings for all.
IDEs are tech equivalent of power tools. You need them. Of course you can always chisel down when needed, but tooling helps.
This is cool . I remember using “Understand for C++” that does something like this , a full source code graph visualization- function flow etc. This of course starts as a folder visualization , but I see the value- seeing the big picture
I use Docusaurus for internal documentation/websites , Code documentation. Makes beautiful documentation sites; Works great with node.js build pipelines. Check it out if you haven't yet.
To their credit it was pretty fast for me to cancel. All i said was “ I have a subscription from work and don’t need personal subscription anymore “ . They cancelled right away , no more questions asked .
Sigh. Thought it's an article about getting off from a start-up/business that's sinking; not literally the Titanic itself. Amusing but well written, triggered some flashes of Titanic movie while reading it though.
Wyze will be a great acquisition, Guessing it would be Amazon that will acquire them eventually.
Been a Wyze customer for couple of years now. Bought many of their cameras from their store and Home Depot. The cameras are real good and much much cheaper than other big brands (Ring/Nest etc). It seems they are basically building a Xiaomi kinda of brand in the US (Xiaomi is extremely popular in countries like India where they have huge market base with well styled products similar to Apple line).
reminds me of Jack Slocum's original Ext.JS with Yahoo UI components .. circa 2006/2007..
Appreciate the awesome effort! even though the industry overall moved to templating model (JSX) which makes it easy.
seems .ai is the new .io for tech startups/projects..
