I truly hope we get a Qwen 3.8 35B-A3B

The model ID appeared in some alibaba PR but later disappeared.

It's the optimal blend of accessibility and model size for a lot of people.

Hi HN,

I'm the CTO of Kolega and the main author of this. Kolega Code is an open source terminal coding agent. What I want to show today is Gigacode, its orchestration engine. The model writes its own multi-agent workflow as a python program and the harness executes it.

When Claude Code shipped dynamic workflows under the ultracode name a few months ago I thought it was the most interesting thing that happened to coding agents for a while, but it's closed source. This is the same idea, except you can read the code. The model receives your request, maybe investigates a bit, then emits a program written against a small runtime API with paralle phases, pipelines, judge panels, etc.

There's an unedited workflow example the model authored in the repo: https://github.com/kolega-ai/kolega-code/blob/main/examples/...

Architecture doc, including what's guaranteed by the runtime, the journaling and resume behaviour, and what workflow shapes the models actually chose in practice, drawn from a few hundred of our internal runs: https://github.com/kolega-ai/kolega-code/blob/main/how-gigac...

Main thing that needs improvement: the workflow current runs in the foreground and blocks the chat thread until it finishes. Backgrounding it is the next piece of work.

What tasks are you working on with one serial agent that a parallel workflow or a swarm might do better? Interested to see what people might apply this to.

The erosion of trust is actually a good thing, because those institutions are undeserving of trust.

Why would you expect he had things to say outside his area of expertise?
To get the flu vaccine.
Maybe the ones who developed Alzheimers forgot.
They supported radical state interventions against covid that affected the economy and forced central banks to run the money printer. Lockdowns, etc.

That's like saying bad trapeze artists are not a valid argument for safety nets.

I for one do not believe the battery life claims.
If that is the standard by which the population of a country can be judged to be barbarians, then the category of barbarians is a wide one indeed.
I see nothing in his comment to justify such a charitable interpretation.
> Unfortunately the Russians never got that memo and remained barbarian.

I don't believe referring to any group of people as barbarians is an appropriate comment for HN, or indeed for any place purporting to be a forum for civilized discourse.

Yes, it's an old SEO hack. It's called "keyword stuffing".
I would have to charge it every 3 weeks.
What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.
Regulations on corporations are ultimately backed up by threats of violence too.

Good luck to you.
Re:Loving Someone with Depression on Tuesday January 04, 2022 @06:52AM (#29793836)
Whatever your faults, and I'm sure you have some, gaslighting is abuse and you shouldn't put up with it.

If you don't have kids, you should leave her. People's characters don't usually change or improve.

The whole "I need to do better because I have ADHD" thing sounds like a narrative she uses to gaslight you into being her slave.

All the focus in your post is on your duties, not on hers.

I obviously don't know your relationship from the inside, but I experienced similar and it was relief to get away from it.

Re:Marketing is scary for a solo developer on Sunday December 19, 2021 @01:00PM (#29616380)
He wasn't though.
I live in a country with a vaccination rate over 90% and we still have partial lockdowns.

So I suggest you reassess whether meeting that goal in your location would result in things going back to normal for you.

Can you drop the link to it? I'm not sure if you mean the bootcamp.

Why not?

Re:The Unfulfilled Promise of Serverless on Saturday November 20, 2021 @09:40AM (#29288457)
The problem with this view is that the alternative to serverless is not spending money on bare metal servers, but renting actual or virtual servers on a month to month basis.
This is an endemic disease of humans and will never be eradicated.
It's terrible.
> Retail stores actually buy everything they sell

This is true in general, but not absolutely true.

In some cases, manufacturers rent shelf space from stores, then pay the store a commission for each unit sold.

Various power tool manufacturers use this model, the name of which eludes me at this moment. I think Moleskine also does it.
