What about a system that saves in some way the hash in a Blockchain, and if you, eg, XOR the hash of the video with the hash of the previous block you will "certainly" know that the video was created between the previous block and the block where the hash is saved in. That's a starting point.
note that the comments on that post were written in the middle of the 2022 bear market, that's why the tone is more depressed than average.
In the near future our AI assistants will talk with each other and check if the source can be trusted or not
why should I protest not needing to work for money? Isn't post scarcity a great goal to have?
Re:Tell HN: Fiverr left customer files public and searchable on Wednesday April 15, 2026 @10:25AM (#47779450)
Answer from Fiverr:

"To be clear, this is not a cyber incident. Fiverr does not proactively expose users' private information. The content in question was shared by users in the normal course of marketplace activity to showcase work samples, under agreements and approvals between buyers and sellers. This type of content requires the buyer's consent before it can be uploaded. As always, any request to remove content is handled promptly by our team."

It looks like they (cloudinary?) blocked the content.

Each result from the query site:fiverr-res.cloudinary.com form 1040 returns 404

In recent times I found myself falling for this preconception when a LLM starts to spit text just a couple of seconds after a complex request.

Just buy an all-world ETF (or another similar instrument, depending on your local tax laws) for the long therm.

Who cares if there is a bubble or not. The world economy will still grow.

I would say it's an example of sampling or selection bias
Sorry but I don't think people that read HN are the right audience for this scam.

To me it looks like (sexual) harassment:

1: I’m sorry;

2: I was just hungry, your fingers passed near my mouth;

3: It was a joke;

4: It was your fault;

Isn't boosting websites without ads against their interest?

I found that the wayback machine is really useful to get the title of the video, especially for songs.

I downloaded a few books ~5 years ago and the quality wasn't that great, it was like reading a reworded tutorial in a random website.

Checking the author is a good call

Re:Probability Can Bite on Monday August 21, 2023 @10:48AM (#37210273)
If you have 2B you might show up in both groups (Monday and Tuesday in your example), if you have only 1B you can't show up in both groups, that's why the probability is different.

Maybe "crave" is not the right word, I'm not able to understand how you can desire something that you find vomit worthy.
Accounts with low karma are limited.

Ideally this should solve the "mass downvoting to impose your pet echo chamber" problem that can happen in other online communities.

With the ongoing fall of reddit if I were an admin i would propose a limit based on account age, in order to not shift the common etiquette suddenly.
