Curious. How do you use gemini for journaling? What is your workflow?
Re:Vim Keybindings Everywhere – The Ultimate List on Thursday May 04, 2023 @02:56PM (#35820382)
Does anyone have a suggestion to have vim mode key bindings for chrome or firefox URL bar?
In a way, your analogy does make sense. But, I would also consider the question "Why haven't we heard of Data Centre Providers being affected by Ransomware" a valid one. And that was my first thought when I saw the question. I am hoping that is what the original question was about.
Re:Unison Programming Language on Sunday June 27, 2021 @07:56PM (#27656617)
This is really exciting. I might have missed this in the documentation, but is there any way of grouping/tagging together a set of functions, just so that conceptually similar functions can be browsed together? For traditional languages a folder/package/file performed this functionality.
Re:WhatsApp delays privacy changes following backlash on Friday January 15, 2021 @06:37PM (#25798131)
Not specifically. I assumed the distinction from the two below. "We offer end-to-end encryption for our Services. End-to-end encryption means that your messages are encrypted to protect against us and third parties from reading them. Learn more about end-to-end encryption and how businesses communicate with you on WhatsApp."

And the following link https://faq.whatsapp.com/general/security-and-privacy/end-to...

Business conversations are conversations between you and Whatsapp Business accounts. Everything else would be personal.
Re:WhatsApp delays privacy changes following backlash on Friday January 15, 2021 @06:02PM (#25797727)
Specifically to distinguish it from "business" conversations. A lot of my peer group missed that distinction in the whatsapp policy update.
I have seen other implementations before, but this is a godsend. Have been looking for something like this for quite a while. It just works for me.

Added Kitty and Goland as exceptions for now.

Does that mean an alternative solution would allow inciting violence?
Re:Ferry Halim – Original Flash Games on Friday November 20, 2020 @10:16AM (#25161212)
Exactly. I have played a lot of flash games in my childhood, but the gentle, calm music and simple mechanics was beautiful in its own way. Most of them involve just moving the mouse around, or pressing a simple key.

Seeing all the news about flash retiring, remembered this old gem.
Re:The U.S. Divorce Rate Has Hit a 50-Year Low on Wednesday November 11, 2020 @12:17PM (#25060301)
If there are no issues money wise, and you have a good understanding between you two, what is the mess and expense of divorce?

I am someone who always assumed that divorce proceedings were expensive when there were conflicts in alimony, possessions and kids. ( and all this information is mostly from movies )

This writeup covered each and every question that popped up in my head in pretty much the same order too. Clear and concise.
I get you! It is even harder for a few of us who are leaning down in the political graph. Atleast the political right gets an acknowledgement of existence. The political down are accused as outright quacks.

I am sure that was hyperbole.

FYI, Kutty or കുട്ടി means child in the language of malayalam :)
How is the game mechanics different from the Monikers?

Edit: Nevermind. Monikers is a version of the fishbowl game.

Re:Popcorn Time 4.0 on Tuesday March 17, 2020 @09:07AM (#22604500)
The question opens up other questions exactly like you mentioned. For eg: If it was never about the price point, and more about it being available on a single platform, would you be fine with paying a very high subscription fee for a platform which holds all the catalogues?

Let me be clear, I torrent things too, but I've never really had an answer to the piracy question. I wouldnt just want to blame it on all the studios seperating out the catalogues into their own service.

Re:Popcorn Time 4.0 on Tuesday March 17, 2020 @08:44AM (#22604330)
In that case, what is the maximum amount of subscription fee that you are willing to shell out before resorting to piracy?

Drug dealers never tell their clients how to wean off their vices. Is that a crime? :P
