Re:Why Common Lisp Is Now the Best Programming Language on Thursday October 08, 2026 @04:00PM (#50011259)
By the way, https://common-lisp.net is finally running on Common Lisp. Just thought I'd throw that in here.
Re:MCP Server Wrapper for Lisp and Lisp-Like Systems on Tuesday April 15, 2025 @12:16AM (#43688931)
Hi, this ["Lisply MCP"](https://github.com/gornskew/lisply-mcp) project started out as a "quick hack" to get Claude Desktop driving my [Common Lisp based backend](https://gitlab.common-lisp.net/gendl/gendl), and ended up as a generic Node.js wrapper meant to work with pretty much [any language backend which can support "eval" and http](https://github.com/gornskew/lisply-mcp/blob/master/BACKEND-R...) . By default, it comes configured to work with an existing reference-implementation backend [CL-based container image](https://gitlab.common-lisp.net/gendl/gendl/-/tree/master/gwl...) which it will pull and run on-demand. An [Emacs Lisp backend](https://github.com/gornskew/skewed-emacs/blob/master/dot-fil...) is in progress.
Re:Offshore wind to become a $1T industry on Saturday October 26, 2019 @02:05AM (#21362011)
OP said the Bolt, not the Volt.
The ICAD System. Common Lisp based knowledge based engineering platform, including solid modeling kernel. Started on Symbolics machines and ended up on Allegro Common Lisp. Purchased by Dassault Systemes (800 lb gorilla of the CAD world) and shut down.
Nor is github a perfect indicator. Some languages promote their own open-source repository hubs, such as https://gitlab.common-lisp.net.
This is messed up right here.
Re:Lisp for the Web (2008) on Sunday September 09, 2018 @03:23PM (#17947312)
We are using a slightly different set of libraries. CL-WHO for generating HTML and XML for sure. AllegroServe for the webserver (with zacl, a new Allegro CL compatibility layer, for non Allegro CLs).
Re:Mercedes Readies First Tesla Rival in $12B Attack on Tuesday September 04, 2018 @03:32PM (#17912081)
We leased a Chevy Bolt back in February. $2000 down and $325/month including lease & tire protection plan (3-year lease, 15,000 miles per year). $41/month flat rate for electricity for the garage charger. 240+ mile range and great pickup and driveability (not quite the acceleration of Tesla's Ludicrous Mode, though).

But yeah, it was pretty obvious that the dealer wasn't thrilled about carrying and selling this model. They don't push them or advertise them at all -- I'm guessing because they hardly go in for repairs or maintenance.

He just thought it was "too big" at the time. That may no longer be the case.
