We just published an article on how Segment doubled their sales using Drift. Here's all the details on how it works: https://blog.drift.com/segment-case-study/

Thanks David.

You're right it's Drift. I'm the CEO. Love working with Segment, Mixpanel, Clearbit and other great companies to deliver a personalized experience on their sites like in this example.

It's Drift (www.drift.com). I'm the CEO. We work closely with Segment and others including Clearbit to personalize the experience.
Hey all,

I wrote this post last night after being asked by a few startup friends about the topic.

Any great books you think I should add to the list?

Indeed. He's amazing!

The gist of the article is that I try to grow product managers internally vs hiring experienced PMs. Just like in the case of Matt the PM on our homepage.

CEO of Drift here.

Not a promotional piece just sharing what I have learned building multiple companies and product teams.

Wow. Thanks for doing this. The team is honored that you would redesign the app.

David CEO @ Driftt.com

Fair. I'm sure I'm a wanker at times just like everyone else. Our team is amazing, super friendly and love working together which is the real thing I care about.
Good question, avoiding bias of any sort when looking at results is always a problem.

The cup story is actually a bit different than in the article. I don't bring in a cup, it is the interviewee's own cup or bottle of water. So what I observed over time that some people never felt like it was their responsibility to clean up after themselves, a question of simple manners more than a trick/test I am putting them through.
