His competitors aren't too bad at it either.

denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance

Dear software programmers: 90% of your jobs are going away soon. Most of you are on the first step. Those of you who progress through these step the fastest will be most prepared for what is about to come.

Both jobs are going away. Prepare.
It looks like they may have done a little bit of lying. https://nongaap.substack.com/p/sivb-held-to-mortem-governanc...
It could be borne by the tax payers who have bank accounts. But it is also possible the banks could bear some or all of the "tax" by lowering their margins.
Re:The DOJ just called me about Adobe/Figma merger on Friday October 07, 2022 @07:23PM (#33128180)
I dont. It's a bummer when #1 buys out #2. It stifles innovation and increases costs to consumers.
Re:The DOJ just called me about Adobe/Figma merger on Thursday October 06, 2022 @11:53PM (#33117231)
Yes. The Department of Justice. I filed a complaint stating the nature of deal may be in violation of antitrust regulation.

The DOJ just called me about Adobe/Figma merger

I only hire people who use the software. I couldn't answer all of their questions. So I thought you guys might be able to help. 1. What is the cost of each and how has that changed over time? 2. Are there any true alternatives to these two? 3. Has Adobe innovated more as a result of the competition with Figma? 4. Anything else you could contribute to show how a user/consumer would be harmed by...

If Aliens find us, it seems reasonable they would be smarter/more advanced.
There are two possibilities. Either Hans Niemann cheated AGAIN, or he didn't.
Re:Adobe to acquire Figma for $20B on Thursday September 15, 2022 @12:20PM (#32854305)
1. Here is the email:

[email protected]

2. It should include something similar the following (maybe a lawyer here, could help):

a. Adobe acquiring Figma may violate anti-trust laws. b. These are the 2 dominate players in web design apps. There is very little competition elsewhere. c. I am a user and once they merge there is no viable competitor.

Re:Adobe to acquire Figma for $20B on Thursday September 15, 2022 @12:14PM (#32854222)
Is it possible that this runs into anti-trust issues?
I know many people share your view if social media platform x allows content y, then it will be reduced to anarchy. I never understood that. Reddit used to allow some pretty insane sub-reddits, but I never knew that until it was on the news that they banned them. I used the platform daily and only looked at what interested me. Vegetarians and Keto(atarians?) both go to the same grocery stores. They just pick the part that works for them and don't worry about the rest. Could you explain how you would imagine that Twitter "could quickly devolve into a scarychan-style sewer?"
Its up now.
I think there is some incorrect information in this post. I know people who have completed their Bachelors and Masters completely funded by the GI Bill, including living expenses.

In the experience of the people I know, the VA goes out of their way to give benefits as needed. One case, in particular, they were granted 100% disability for life with a packet submission and one phone call.

There is already a similar device on the market called a dehumidifier. It takes a fair amount of electricity and costs over $150. I think the core of the problem may be the amount of energy it takes to harvest water vapor, especially in arid conditions. (Likely the areas where the need is greatest.)
Yes, but a larger buffer between NATO and strategic assets like Moscow.
I agree with you on both points, I was just trying to present some possible motivations from Putin's perspective.
He doesn't want NATO on his door step any more than we would want Mexico to ally with Russia. Ukraine and Russians share a somewhat similar history and the Russians see relative prosperity in Ukraine as a newly capitalist society. This does not reflect well on Putin. This is one of many reasons, including but not limited to: the money and resources Ukraine would bring and control of the gas lines that lead directly into the heart of the EU.

Gasprom, Dell and Tesla may be some examples of companies that have done will with vertical integration.

Then Congress should step in. This seems like something that would get bipartisan support.
Maybe they could do a software update that rotates the dish if connectivity drops, or a least give the owner the option of remotely turning on a dish rotate function.

I think he may have meant in terms of software companies. Many of them do not require a wind tunnel.
If it is software, Could he just set a company in his home country that purchases server space in the US?
On the DOJ website, they were asking for reimbursement of past disabled people who had to pay a fee to be paid.
Re:Parents' income, not smarts, key to entrepreneurship on Thursday January 28, 2021 @12:08PM (#25944974)
Middle class in the US goes up to about $120k. I dont know any licensed tradespeople that work for themselves that make less than this.

You could still agree with everything in the article and tweet this tweet. The article states the strongest predictor of entrepreneurship is parent's wealth. There are many other predictors.
