I love the idea, but it’s a real shame how people are using it. I wonder if AI can moderate it for offensiveness and spam prevention

It made me double check if it was a fake repo.
Creator here, happy to answer any questions you might have or provide tips for your own job search...

I also turned my skills database into a knowledge base with a chatbot on a very simple website so hiring managers or recruiters can ask questions.

Show HN: Get Hired with AI, a free book I wrote on using LLMs for a job search

https://www.careervectorhq.com/book/get-hired-with-ai.html

I have been on here for nearly 20 years :-)I got laid off from a IT/Dev manager job I'd been at for nearly a decade. I loved the company, role and my team, but the company had to downsize. The search that followed took 9 months: 249 applications, 21 screening calls, 7 interviews, and 2 job offers.Somewhere around month 4 I stopped treating it as "send resume, hope" and started building a...

I thought this was the delivery of an n8n template and not a hosted AI that charges per run

Ask HN: How are you using AI to find jobs? What worked (and didn't)?

Hi HN,Longtime HN user here (since 2007)I’m mapping practical ways HN uses AI in job searches—what truly moved the needle vs. what didn’t.If you’re willing, please share: - Role/seniority/region (optional) - Top 1–2 AI workflows that helped, and the tools/models you used (incl. resume/cover-letter products) - Tools you used like Jobscan, Rezi Resume.io if anu - Where it helped most (research,...

Ask HN: Why aren't more developers using AI tools?

I’ve worked in both corporate and startup settings and keep noticing that many talented developers I meet don’t use AI tools at all — not even for small things like boilerplate code, tests, or docs. Why? Concerns about security or IP? Don’t trust the quality? Slows you down instead of helping? Just don’t see the value? If you don’t use AI tools (or tried and stopped), I’d love to hear your...

Re:Ask HN: How do you exercise? on Friday January 27, 2023 @12:29AM (#34542844)
I have 6 Kettle bells at home and I have a program designed with 4 different options by an exercise physiologist.

I also run/bike/swim and walk the dog for 30 min per day generally with a 12kg weight vest (strength and cardio at the same time). I try to so 1 triathlon a year and 1 marathon a year and I find that is good motivation to prepare for an event.

I do 75 Hard (Google it) 2-3 times a year.

Re:Ask HN: Staying fit whilst working from home? on Monday January 24, 2022 @05:27AM (#30055733)
I started running at lunch time while working from home to get out the house and started doing longer and longer distances… I ended up running a marathon last year.

Another aspect is that I did 75 Hard last year, which is a life/game changer!

If you find any, please let us know. We are looking for a Laravel example.
Re:How to get in touch with small businesses? on Thursday January 16, 2020 @12:15AM (#22061861)
Assuming you have a LinkedIn profile, here is what I would do:

1. Optimize your LinkedIn profile to explain that you are a Software Entrepreneur

2. Search for Realtors on LinkedIn.

3. Connect with them on LinkedIn.

4. Once connected thank them for the connection

5. A few days later, ask them for a conversation. Talk to them about their business and problems.

Steps 3-5 can be automated with a tool like this: https://linkedprospect.com/
