Re:Pi.dev: You Said No MCP on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @12:03PM (#49910703)
MCPs are nice, but where things really start getting fun is when you have an extensible MCP like jilebi or hyper-mcp
Re:Ask HN: Should we still learn coding? on Wednesday September 23, 2026 @09:44AM (#49816093)
We still learn/teach addition, subtraction, multiplication and division even though calculators/computers are much better at these tasks than humans. It is still valuable to learn how to code in my opinion.
Get a single domain and use subdomains till one of your projects pop off. Or use the cloudflare worker/vercel domain that is by-default provided when you deploy apps on those platforms
I feel like with web search, exa and fetch built into harnesses this is no longer a problem. Haven't faced this issue in months.
Re:I don't like passkeys on Friday September 18, 2026 @10:51AM (#49755244)
The point about Google or apple or your passkey manager banning your account is a reason I'm still using random passwords in Keepassxc. I don't know if there is an open source passkey manager that syncs across devices that is self hostable.

Anyway, companies should be educating users more on passkeys, how they work and where they get stored.

I've tried finding a middleground with using coding agents. I mostly get them to show me documentation or examples of how to do something, rather than do the thing. Sometimes I'm lazy and I just ask opencode to make the change, but most times I do it myself. Has kept me happy

Hey folks, I built Jilebi - an MCP server/runtime written in rust that gets its tools from javascript plugins. These plugins run in a deno sandboxed Runtime and need permissions to access file and network resources. It simplifies creating and installing MCP servers. Give it a try! Right now I'm working on reducing the size of the executable - any tips would be appreciated.Happy new year!

Hi everybody - a few months ago I made this post on r/mcp https://www.reddit.com/r/mcp/comments/1klkagh/a_single_mcp_s... looking for a way to abstract out tools, resources and prompts from MCP servers allowing them to be sandboxed and easy to install - you didn't need to setup different servers each time.It even helped with developing MCPs, I could focus on writing the code rather than setup...

Show HN: Mailbrane – an email masking service for organizations

https://mailbrane.com

Hello HN,I wanted to show you mailbrane - an email masking service. I use firefox relay a lot, and thought that email masking was a service needed by enterprises as well, but there was no one catering to them.I used honojs + typescript + htmx + drizzle ORM and I really liked working with this tech stack. Chrome, firefox and safari extensions are next after I finish work on integrating stripe.
