Uses Rusts Rocket framework and Docker to deploy a web app to fly.io. The Dockerfile also works for AWS ECS.

If its a small site you can deploy on google firebase pretty easily, and possibly cheaper than aws. You can also use the firebase database for smaller apps for free as well. It's been my go to for a couple years for small projects, never had to pay them a dime so far.

I could see it being a thing. There are lots of different shapes of die and they can easily be tampered with. Could even make them required in casinos and such to prove the casino isn't cheating.

I feel like CS degrees must be very different everywhere else from where I go... At any rate, programming does suck, but it's fun as hell and very rewarding when you finally get the suck to work. There is a lot of stupid nonsense you have to fight with when programming, which is the suck, and if you don't enjoy fighting with it then I don't think you'll enjoy it at all.

Political issues seem to be fine as long as they are on the side of politics HN moderators want them to be on. Articles about systemic racism in medical equipment and even math are fine, but any article against left leaning narratives are banned. There is nothing in the guidelines that forbids certain topics, in fact the guidelines promote healthy discussion on all topics, but the moderators...

I don't think it's comparing them at all... It's saying just because something is offensive or can be considered offensive doesn't mean we have to react terribly to the situation. As a society we're getting more and more offended by everything and that's not a good thing...
