Re:Israel shuts down local Al Jazeera offices on Sunday May 05, 2024 @04:40PM (#40268135)
Lets not forget that the British Govt banned Russia Today from broadcasting in the UK a few years back. Such is their planning and manipulation of events on the global stage!

https://www.theguardian.com/media/2022/mar/18/will-ofcoms-de...

Notice a pattern with the British Govt? They get their "independent" depts and businesses to do their dirty work for deniability!

Re:Working with Qubes OS at the Guardian on Saturday April 06, 2024 @06:49AM (#39951518)
Someone who worked for the British Military told me back in the early 00's the US military (but could be any part of the US govt) had the ability to bowl up outside a building and "tune" into any of the pc they could detect. It didnt matter what floor of an office block they were on, how far away from a window they were, they had a special suitcase for remote accessing any and all pc's they wanted.

Dont know how true it was or is, but I've seen some of these devices now advertised online. I'd provide a link if only Google & Bing would deliver the results, and were also psychologically engaged in warfare on the population.

I wouldnt trust my life with doctors, they are no better than religious academics.

The drug companies know more than them!

So it probably also affects Android phones and SBC like RaspberryPi's?

> The crux is understanding what data access patterns you will have and what indexes / data structures accelerate that access pattern

We have a winner. But when looking at SQL tables/Views/Stored Procedures, the data is also stored in order in memory, in effect have a master database and files on disk, with sorted databases and files in memory for faster access.

I wasnt bought up to ask for help. It was beaten in to me by parents and teachers, to work things out myself, today that causes me significant cognitive dissonance which is legal torture and a way to make people self destruct.

Besides why should other people know how I'm being done over?

Some people dont want to validate their existence or the bad laws that also exist on the statute books.
Re:Welcome to the Kinky World of AI Financial Domination on Tuesday November 14, 2023 @02:43PM (#38268525)
Isnt this Findom/PayPig thing just a variation of outing GoldDiggers as seen in the link below? The fact the FinDom's are now turning to AI would suggest a level of awareness and subtle education is taking place, namely the ability to use such technology. Its a bit like when people claim to be dyslexic and thus cant read or write, but they text message and DM people on social media platforms no problem at all!

Of course, the AI Paypig gives the Central Banks a platform that doesnt need Ex Fed Reserve Chairman Ben Bernankes helicopter drops and doesnt challenge their authority when people question their methods.

I wonder how that C$119M per Km compares to other country's. Anyone know?
Resource Burn. Meta can throw more money at any court case, so if the judge is bent, which happens, it can become a long drawn out process. Personally though, despite having the trademark for a trademark with the word "threads", note lowercase, its also got a logo filed which might complicate the situation. https://trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmcase/page/Results/1/UK00...

Plus they only have a few catagories selected from Class 9. https://trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmcase/page/History/1/UK00...

Personally I would have filed the logo and word seperately to avoid any confusion, otherwise situations like this court case could present themselves, but maybe that is/was the intention when it was filed.

Well fucking do it, instead of threatening me Spineless Cunt!

I fancy my chances in the same way Ronnie Pickering and Raoul Moat did. Had enough of criminal employees of the state.

I bet you believe in god don't you!?!

I'd I'll make it easy for you to make your report.

This is me!

And yet noone questions the US tech for producing shit that enables people to be spied on!

Whose the fucking criminal state, Israel or the US?

These are excellent facilities for bringing the world closer together, but just remember if they can change the text from one language to another, this makes the browser facility a target for manipulating people with more fake news.

I've already been questioning some of the text seen when using MS Edge, and this isnt always translated text.

Is this just a computer program doing the job of some journalists and artists?
Re:EU proposes 10-year renewal for glyphosate herbicide on Monday September 25, 2023 @05:25AM (#37641281)
https://fr-m-wikipedia-org.translate.goog/wiki/Semis_direct_...

This method requires a lot of plant knowledge to make it work, and is not suited to the current brute force method of farm machinery which is the main method of farming.

It would be better suited to little robots doing the work, but in the mean time, the only competitor is more human hands on the fields which some people see as a backwards step.

Re:EU proposes 10-year renewal for glyphosate herbicide on Monday September 25, 2023 @05:17AM (#37641240)
> including alcohol and red meat.

When referring to red meat, shouldnt that nitrates or nitrites?

>What I heard from farmers is that there is no know alternative that's safer.

Well actually there are alternatives, but then that would be more resource intensive, unlike the current lazy method of mono crop farming that capitalism does not reward.

So is Capitalism your enemy?

Some points to note:

The British like to make out that Policing is by consent, and so politicians like Theresa May and others make a big play on not having armed police officers patrolling in public. Yet any trip to the airport and other transport hubs like train stations will see them on display, patrolling. In London you will see them driving around, they are never far from an incident.

They use hollowpoints which dont egress the body, but rather cause more internal damage which is designed to stop and kill. When these people are around they are going to kill people and there is no judge or jury on the "intelligence" that warranted their appearance on the streets as Jean Charles da Silva e de Menezes found out.

I've been subjected to a variety of criminal actions at the hands of the police, and there is no recourse in this country for that criminality, you will just get hounded and attacked by members of the public and others sympathetic to the Police.

So this action, is going to cause the friends and family of Chris Kaba more aggrevation. It also looks like the Police officer wont be convicted of murder, but this is a stealth reverse psychology exercise designed to make changes to armed Policing in the UK and quite like get them a pay rise because the Police are not allowed to take industrial action and strike, but this is a strike.

Some of the police are ex-military, and there is culture of secrecy for these public servants, after all some of the military have to go somewhere, once they have had enough of being barked at.

Personally I think all public servants should be publicly known, military, police, doctors and nurses, teachers, if you are taking tax payers money then you should be known, people on benefits, charities, quango's, everyone, zero privacy for taking money out of the "public" purse.

So lets see how the public handle this anguish and anxiety of not having armed police on the streets of London, are we going to have a repeat of the Mark Duggan London riots or something else?

Just how far will people go to get some more money?

Re:EU proposes 10-year renewal for glyphosate herbicide on Monday September 25, 2023 @04:21AM (#37640874)
> But the European Chemicals Agency last year said scientific evidence did not justify classifying glyphosate as a carcinogen

So there you go, still ignoring the woefully underpaid science.

When the local council here in the UK spray it around the pavements to keep the weeds down, the stuff just stinks for days and weeks on end, I dont know how people can put up with it.

The US courts, if the media are to be believed, have ruled its contributed to cancer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-45155788

Whats also worth noting, is this chemical has been sold off, and its currently owned by the European company, so are economic interests overruling the health of the EU voters?

It would seem like that.

Were they British or American?

The best advice I got from someone who knew Hank was, even been on his boat down at Ft Lauderdale, was if you dont want to get hacked, dont put your computer online. Even that is virtually impossible now, one has to become an expert in everything.

There is alot of data sharing going on, not just official businesses like this, but media & news outlets. Journalists have the law on their side as well!

I couldnt tie anything up with the server logs, no refers or matching IP address landing on the webpage, thats why I pulled the plug and stopped spending money on it.

However someone I know professionally, another coder, did spot I was using their bsuiness name in my adwords campaign so they did have a go at me telling me to stop using their business name in my adwords program.

Thats the problem in this business, its hard to know who to trust.

You are aware of this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Click_farm#Advertising_provide...

Re:Definitely Do Not Put Plastic in the Microwave on Sunday September 24, 2023 @03:12PM (#37636241)
When I was a lad and had to study physics, we got told thats because the microwaves are at the resonant frequency of water molecules (2.4Ghz iirc), and they cause these water molecules to oscillate causing friction which generates heat, and thus the microwave can cook food.

So this is why my question about the Russian body suits using microwaves to heat occupants in the polar regions is not a silly question.

You cant verify the stats because like in politics, the question is part of the charade. An example of what I mean is carrying out a survey in a poor part of a country, or during the middle of the night outside a hospital or night club. So many entities have their special relationships with their pollsters, and the pollsters are excellent at identifying the best ways to manipulate a survey.

And with the ease at which to produce an app, especially with ChatGPT (if the hype is to be believed), are people just competing against the app stores own developers, to rinse them of their very last drop of income?

Its not like anyone can check each and ever app in the appstore is it?

>So how do people who are not major publishers actually figure out whether Google is unfairly hiding your app?

I used to spend money on adwords when it first came out and I couldnt verify any of the people who clicked the links, and nothing was converting to enquiries let a sale, so I pulled the plug.

Here in the UK we have/had something called the Thomson local directory, its a variation of the old yellow pages, pre internet times.

So I used to spend money advertising in both Thomson and Yellow pages, and before the next Thomson directory was due to be released, I started to get lots of enquiries pertaining to the advert I had in the Thomson. They were phone enquiries, couldnt be specific about the IT hardware they were having problems with and wouldnt even let me come out to them for free to take a look, and even offering stupidly cheap rates, like £10 an hour, they never would commit. I would also ask them where they got my number and they would all tell me the Thomson local directory.

Fast forward 6 weeks, get a call from Thomson telling me its time to renew my advert with them, I called them out, and never heard from them again.

They relied on the suckers like me, not being able to verify whether the caller was genuine or not.

There are lots of businesses, some big names, carrying out crimes. The Law protects these criminals, partly because its an offence to hack them!

And they have big budgets for big law firms who can employ the services of companies like Lexis Nexis for their case law research.

The law and legal profession, including judges are just white collar criminals.

Not one of them have got the public to sign a contract stating an individual would adhere to the laws of the land.

So if it doesnt feel right, dont do it and dont be talked into doing it.

Edit. Dont for one minute think I'm against businesses per se, but in the scheme of things, at least here in the UK my life experiences boil down to this. Employees of the state carry out the physical and mental crimes on kids and adults, businesses do people over with what they have at their disposal, like poor workmanship, fudging stats, or the small print!

Re:Cavities were cured in 1985, and no one knows it yet on Sunday September 24, 2023 @02:38PM (#37635907)
I've done everything the experts have said, we were too poor for sweets, but they have continued to prove themselves wrong.

Something I find interesting is the role zinc plays in the oral cavity, a sufficiently high intake see's an increase of zinc in the saliva, which in turn reduces the oral bacteria levels, zinc will appear in the enamel of the teeth, and zinc has a similar oesteoblastic effect with bones where its also stored for quick release. The effect it has on bone marrow, increasing stem cell numbers, and people will be familiar with the idea of taking zinc at the start of a cold to half the duration, I'm left wondering if zinc is deliberately ignored by medical experts for fear of being put out of work!

Like what?

Like what?

Educate the layman instead of saying this is no good, please.

Re:Definitely Do Not Put Plastic in the Microwave on Saturday September 23, 2023 @04:21PM (#37627108)
Various military's most notably the Russians experimented with body suits that microwaved their occupants to keep them warm in the polar regions.

For some reason the idea didnt catch on, anyone know why not?

Re:UK Government Extends Petrol and Diesel Car Sales Until 2035 on Friday September 22, 2023 @03:03PM (#37616265)
I suppose that applies to importing them from foreign climates as well?
Re:UK Government Extends Petrol and Diesel Car Sales Until 2035 on Friday September 22, 2023 @03:02PM (#37616256)
Whats the definition of a hybrid, because if I run out of fuel but put my car in 1st gear and turn the engine over with the key, it will move forward, albeit very slowly and not very far, so technically manual ICE cars already are a hybrid!?!

Hence the question. :)

Seems like the F35 has some degree of autonomy built in to it.

"If the jet is stable in level flight, the jet will attempt to stay there. If it was in an established climb or descent, the jet will maintain a 1G state in that climb or descent until commanded to do something else," the Marine Corps said in a statement. "This is designed to save our pilots if they are incapacitated or lose situational awareness."

You know when you've been T̶a̶n̶g̶o̶'d̶ USUK'd
