Re:SaaS RFP – post and bid on SaaS in public on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @09:52PM (#50001102)
I was upset at how much I pay for b2b saas when I was only using a handful of features. Not quite things I would vibe code either.

I realized how annoying it was to shop around for new SaaS where everyone has different functionality. The goal with this is to apple to apples with a public RFP process where other people can see as well and publicly bid.

Re:814M Tokens for <$500 with Cursor on Monday December 22, 2025 @11:01PM (#46362306)
Is this just literally bleeding money?

https://platform.claude.com/docs/en/about-claude/pricing puts input token pricing at $3/M tokens. Assuming this was ALL input, that's over $2400 in API for $40/month

Ask HN: Best way to do coding screens?

Our interview process is fairly quick: 1. 15 minute phone call 2. 30 minute coding challenge on zoom 3. Paid onsiteWhat we’re struggling with is many people are passing the first phone call and then completely flipping the coding challenge. Many of the applicants don’t know how to code. These are people with 5+ years of experience as a software engineer. How do you structure your interview...

Re:Ask HN: Extract text and translate on every PR on Sunday May 18, 2025 @04:53PM (#44024246)
That's cool! We used machine translate to hindi for this which made it super obvious what was english / not as it was different character set (but made it hard to navigate)

Looking for something to help with DX though here, not QA

Ask HN: Extract text and translate on every PR

One of the most tedious parts of frontend dev for our team is making sure all text is extracted to query strings for translation. We use i18n, and it’s great, but a lot falls through the cracks.Have you set something up for your org on every pull request that pulls out text?

Ask HN: What is the correct product/eng cadence for a seed stage startup?

How often should we be releasing new products or features? Is it better to release something buggy and broken vs something more basic but working?I know this is vague, but I'm looking for more general heuristics I can apply rather than direct advice. Any resources or benchmarks here would be really helpful!

You were one of my biggest inspirations for going into software engineering, I absolutely loved your website in high school and would always mess around with the source code to your games. Happy to see you’re still going!

Great idea. Bought immediately, this has always been a pain for me
You are required to give them your last 4 characters of your password over phone support in order to cancel.
We work with many people who are new to technology, and something like this is exactly what we are looking for to help walk our customers through our product. Amazing idea!

Thank you! This is valuable information.
We've written approx. 20 google docs that we have been sending directly to clients with information and are now trying to formalize the information by publishing them as blog posts. So hopefully this process is sound

Ask HN: Starting a company blog, what should I know for SEO?

I am working on a SAAS startup and want to start posting to a blog for SEO and to refer our customers to our posts for information. What are things I should know for SEO? I think we are going to go with Wordpress.Does it matter if it's blog.website.com vs website.com/blog? Does it help to have posts link between each other? Are there a list of meta tags I need to take into account? Thanks!
