I hate it and I know it'll get worse

2027 is going to be crazy
Re:Gemini 4 Argon on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @12:33PM (#50074470)
Opus 5.5 is also priced at $4/$20, but are they on the same level?
Re:Gemini 4 Argon on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @12:17PM (#50074155)
> The model launches today at an introductory price of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens (with cached input tokens at 95% off).

Couldn't you just say what the price will be after the introductory period and when it'll take effect? Do they have some SKILL.md for these blog posts that requires the most important information to always be buried ten levels deep and hidden behind a login page?

Competition in this area is great and kudos for releasing something that we can try out today.
Re:ChatGPT Pro 500 on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @01:48PM (#49897422)
People complained about burning their weekly usage in a day on Pro 200, so OpenAI's response to that is an even more expensive plan?
Re:Cloudflare Quick Tunnels on Friday September 18, 2026 @12:00PM (#49756334)
The website looks broken in dark mode on Firefox.

While V4.1 Flash performance and cost looks promising this auto re-routing sounds concerning

Re:GPT-6 Astra on Thursday September 03, 2026 @05:40PM (#49557474)
I'd say it's because it's not available yet on subs
Re:GPT-6 Astra on Thursday September 03, 2026 @05:33PM (#49557397)
From what I've seen it only made people mad, not hyped, so the person that thought it was a good idea miscalculated a bit. Now waiting for Anthropic's post about their usage promo or something similar to redirect people to them.
Re:GPT-6 Astra on Thursday September 03, 2026 @04:25PM (#49556379)
Why release it now instead waiting those few days until it is available for everybody?
Re:Elevated Errors for Multiple Models on Thursday September 03, 2026 @11:00AM (#49550905)
I was using Opus 5 and now I'm forced to switch to Sonnet 5 and bust the prompt cache which will eat a large percentage of my 5h usage...
Re:How Compaction Works in Pi on Thursday August 13, 2026 @06:08PM (#49292454)
I don't like any of current solutions when it comes to compaction. I'd love to have a way to say what exactly should be summarized, because most of the time I just need to compact some noisy MCP tool calls, test runs and things like that. Just let me pick what should be summarized and keep the rest as is.
Re:Solid 2.0 RC: The Big <Reveal> on Thursday August 13, 2026 @05:45PM (#49292252)
Solid 2 looks great! The async features are really interesting, I'll give them a try in my side projects. Congrats on the release!
Re:Accelerating GPT-5.6 Sol Ultrafast on Thursday August 13, 2026 @05:28PM (#49292088)
So if Fast mode is 1.5x faster at 2x the price, will Ultrafast cost 20x as much? $100/$900 per 1M tokens?

Unfortunately with agents Meta can easily run hundreds of automated experiments on real browsers with each commit in the uBlock Origin's repo and each change in various filter lists to find clean workarounds and submit PRs with patches. You can try fighting this on the other side with similar approach, but why waste time and tokens, just stop using Facebook.
Re:DeepSeek-V4-Pro-0813 Publish on Wednesday August 12, 2026 @12:50PM (#49275315)
I wonder what the price is going to be after the "significant increase" they plan to introduce in the near future.
Re:Grok Bot on Wednesday August 12, 2026 @04:51AM (#49269516)
Does it have access to X API? One limitation in CC, Codex etc. is that they don't have access to X which sometimes has an answer not available via their search providers.
Re:Seedance 2.5 on Saturday August 01, 2026 @07:17PM (#49139544)
I don't think audio, image or video generation should exist. I haven't seen enough positive applications to justify the amount of harm these tools are being used to cause.
Not a fan of their context compaction and I feel like 1M-token context should minimum today. Each day I see how GPT 5.5 and 5.6 struggle a bit after each compaction before they get to the full speed, sometimes focusing too much on some older steering message that made it into the compacted context.
Re:Codex Resets on Sunday July 19, 2026 @06:01AM (#48966550)
> can't sustain these resets

If I would have my tin foil hat on I'd say they can manipulate how the subscription usage gets calculate during the week, so that these resets don't cost them much or anything. Sometimes it feels like the usage just disappears with nothing to show for it.

Re:Codex Resets on Sunday July 19, 2026 @05:56AM (#48966530)
Are they more expensive? I think it's a clever tactic that avoids sudden increased workload, because users may "save" their resets when they need some additional work done.

It'll change on July 27 (based on https://www.kimi.com/blog/kimi-k3):

Really nice! Nice to see FF Nightly already has support that enables scroll detection.

Yes, letting some LLMs "plan, code, review, deploy" will for sure improve quality and depth of innovation you ship.

Fuck Spotify

Re:Creators of Tailwind laid off 75% of their engineering team on Wednesday January 07, 2026 @12:51PM (#46529737)
Companies like Vercel, Lovable, and Stackblitz should pay salaries to each of these engineers. Their business succeeded only because Tailwind exists.
