For the first example I had the same issue, but when I tried on another example it auto-populated the correct credentials.

Sometimes, not even you yourself notice.

Just zoom in on the keyboard. It’s pretty characteristic of AI generated images.

Edit: Just saw the other comments saying the same, whoops

Re:The Fake Browser Update Scam Gets a Makeover on Wednesday October 18, 2023 @05:55PM (#37935300)
Could you give some other concrete, practical examples of use cases for cryptocurrencies instead of the passive-aggressive snark?
Re:The Fake Browser Update Scam Gets a Makeover on Wednesday October 18, 2023 @03:19PM (#37933432)
It’s been great for gambling, cybercrime, and enabling the drug trade practically since its inception.
I’m really considering repurchasing (I definitely owned it previously, no idea what happened), can you describe specifically what the main bugs are for you? I’d be happy if I could use it solely for occasionally writing long notes, not as a replacement for all text inputs.

Really not looking to burn another $5, I’d greatly appreciate any thoughts/concerns at all.

Speaking of third party keyboards, I’m still upset about what happened to Nintype[0]. I’ve never ever been able to type faster on mobile than with it’s intuitive hybrid input style of sliding and tapping, paired with AI that was actually good. It used to be quite performant, fully customizable, and it worked beautifully as a replacement for default on jailbroken iOS.

Today, it’s buggy $5 abandonware that only makes me sad when I am reminded of it.

EDIT: Here[1] is a blog post that claims it's still the best keyboard in 2023. I actually might give it another shot... Not holding my breath though.

*EDIT: Looks like another dedicated fan has actually taken it upon themself to revive the project, under the new name Keyboard71[2].

It’s simply way too easy to get caught nowadays. I don’t think there’s much more to it, honestly. Even if an individual makes a concerted effort to avoid technology (phone, computer, etc), the sprawling surveillance infra only encompasses more each day.

If they wanted to accept crypto, would there be anything stopping them from using Monero at least, instead? I wonder why they would ignore the major actually anonymous token.

I prefer dual-key-remap[0], it maps caps to escape when tapped and control when pressed with other keys.

Isn’t Monero’s value proposition essentially this? I think swapping it to Monero for this purpose is common.
Especially since many (most?) don’t even bother reading past the headline.
Re:Godot 4.1 Is Released on Thursday July 06, 2023 @08:08AM (#36614559)
The main contributor/developer behind Godot also released a very handy little tool that is capable of fully decompiling anything made with Godot:

https://github.com/bruvzg/gdsdecomp

It makes sense to me, but for LLM spam bots, not training. I’m assuming it’ll only increase as time passes.
I assume they mean one that does not dissent.
I think it would be happy to get all the novel training data from them. I assume a conscious GPT means one that continuously updates it’s weights, accounting for realtime multimodal sensory inputs.

I agree Golly is the best for specifically cellular automata, but I came across this program called Visions of Chaos and I was shocked to see it essentially supports any and all types of simulation/generative/procedural/AI solvers and renderers OOTB (it downloads them as needed the first time you use each one) and it seems to have new updates almost every time I open the software.

Seriously amazing for not only fun but easy access to preconfigured solvers if you want to quickly test out ideas, plus it’s packed with presets too. I’ve racked up many hours using it since finding out about it a few months ago, highly recommend.

Their website lists all the features right on the homepage: https://www.softology.pro/voc.htm

It even has all the latest in ML, I use it to launch Stable Diffusion and CLIP all the time.

It’s amazing knowing that one can produce things of this caliber without an internet connection at all. No dependencies required!
Re:Grid World by Alexander Miller on Wednesday April 05, 2023 @03:11PM (#35459020)
Wow, the visuals in this are truly extraordinary and unique. I have never encountered anything quite like this before. I felt compelled to list the things that struck me the most:

- Beautiful, poetic prose on a subject that resonates deeply with me

- Just about as light on bandwidth as you can be, fully embracing the default system font stack while maintaining an attractive appearance

- Seamless functionality on iOS Safari and Firefox on Windows

- Highly engaging links (the Roman pictographs were particularly fascinating!)

- Exquisitely handcrafted artisanal HTML/JS/CSS, reminiscent of Bartosz Ciechanowski's work

I can't say I would change even a single thing. One might argue about the Google Tags import, but this minor "sin" is easily forgiven due to the exceptional mastery of web design and development displayed here, I can't blame you at all for wanting analytics on visitors. This website meets every criterion of my personal "gold standard" for websites, and I can be pretty fussy having done a fair share of frontend stuff myself.

Recently I've been working on a page for a personal project, aiming to achieve a similar level of quality but it can sometimes be challenging to perfect the visual design aspects especially. This website serves as great inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing this!

I’m eating like an absolute king the past two days what with Ciechanowski’s post yesterday and now your fine specimen. The web sometimes feels like wading through a sewer but on occasion you strike gold and it makes everything all OK.

Overhyped? For sure. Exit scam? I think you’re exaggerating quite a bit.
I also immediately scanned for a privacy policy, kind of a no-go without one.

Re:FTX’s balance sheet was bad on Tuesday November 15, 2022 @12:05AM (#33605528)
Do people really not automatically assume that he made money each time he mentioned it?
Re:FTX’s balance sheet was bad on Monday November 14, 2022 @11:50PM (#33605439)
I believe that he said and thinks that way, but I can't quite put my finger on why I feel so convinced...

Startup idea, although it is currently on pause due to health issues.

I’ve been trying for abour 5 years now, longer even; and I’ve too given up. I work for myself now, because I have no choice, no voice, no house.

I gave up on typing notes. My life changed when I learned how superior a screenshot-based workflow really is.
Re:Sound on Wednesday October 19, 2022 @02:43AM (#33258537)
If anyone who is capable is reading this:

What we (the unmanicured masses) crave most is a clear blueprint for reconstructing the new Internet once our consumerism-based, debt-aggregation system inevitably comes to a screeching halt, complete with a spectacularly bloody and sparkling implosion.

I lack the proper academic terminology to even understand the field enough to discern what exactly it is that I don’t know that I don’t know, and personally my time “wasting time learning things on my own for seemingly no reason other than wanting to know” has recently been cut short, and I am left aching for someone to emerge from this chaos and hopefully be receptive to these messages/instructions/explanations before they are pulled from beneath us.
