Re:Namecheap just seized and disabled all my domains on Sunday October 18, 2026 @11:49PM (#50148175)
Honestly, so far Porkbun haven't fucked me yet but sad to see them going down the same route as namecheap

Are there any decent non-US based domain provider remaining at all?

Re:I love the work of the ArchWiki maintainers on Sunday February 15, 2026 @04:22AM (#47022302)
It was? Did they bring it back because I do see stuff on their forums..

I do prefer gentoo wiki over arch wiki from time to time as things feel less cluttered to me but that's just my opinion.

Damn, I just got a Pixel 10 pro XL for installing GrapheneOS. I hate how below average Pixel's hardware is and I wouldn't have minded waiting a couple of more years for this.
This is interesting, usually it's the latter because the config is ran line by line

Also, if it's not too much trouble, would someone help me understand why such files are required to start with numbers? In this case it's 10-no-password.conf.

I have noticed similar structure for apt and many more packages

This is really interesting. I like the blog, I don't want to subscribe for emails but I would like and RSS but I don't see it
Thank you. I don't see it either. Maybe I will contact them for linux support
Thank you. This is definitely I will consider.
Okay, I don't want to be that guy. Is there something a little less obscure? Just enough to add group policies, security patches, disabling installation and such, to all work laptops over the air?

Ask HN: Looking for a back end service to manage work computers

Hello, I recently joined a new startup and I am new to the IT field. I am tasked to look for a service which has backend access to all the laptops given to our employees. If someone installs anything even remotely suspicious I should know about it. All the laptops are running Ubuntu. I am okay if it's a paid service. Any suggestions?

Dear lord, it's been a year already? It feels like it was only yesterday when Freenode was trying to take over every other channel on their network. Glad to see Libera doing alright
