Oh, I loved HOMAM 3 - and this made me google a bit and there is also an engine for it for Linux: https://github.com/vcmi/vcmi

I used to tell claude ‘lets discuss’ at the end of my prompt and that prevented it from starting the work
I also gave up on my Claude Code subscription. It's running out in 2 weeks and I have canceled it. My current MAX session got rate-limited in 2 hours of work and that's just absurd.

Codex seems to give the $20 plan for free for 1 month and that's what I signed up for.

Let's see how it compares when I can't use my Claude max sub for 3 more hours.

N multiplications of dozen-second
It doesn’t seem to work anymore, it’s stuck in the same set of text
Looking forward to that, I have added it to my home screen
Nice - that looks useful.

Would it be possible to:

- do "horizontal" swiping gesture to go to next/previous summarized article? Kind of like instagram stories

- keep the link to original article as I scroll through the summary so I can quickly navigate to full article if the summary is interesting?

So it's because they want to be more like ChatGPT instead of being more Claude Code. I guess that makes sense - bigger market

I never looked into hearing aids - would the interchangeability affect weight ?

It came up recently in local news. I wonder how they force that for earphones...

Nice, I can see the appeal having familiar UI on Mac.

Even though I am not your target audience (linux i3 user myself), I would be interested in knowing how much "hacking" the macOS system is required to do this. Is it hard to get a list of running apps for your Task Bar? Is it hard to list the apps for the menu? How about keeping it all "on top" while other windows e.g. get maximized/minimized/full-screen, etc?

How is that done ?
Re:What is the index of an empty string in an empty string? on Thursday December 14, 2023 @02:11PM (#38645769)
What's the logic behind returning anything but -1 (not found) ?

Given "asdf".indexOf("a") is 0

Then "asdf"[0] is "a"

Given "".indexOf("") is 0

Then ""[0] is "" (which it's not in any language I know of)

Re:Google postpones MV2 shutoff in Chrome stable to June 2023 on Friday September 30, 2022 @03:23AM (#33031968)
Awesome! Thanks for the update
Re:Google postpones MV2 shutoff in Chrome stable to June 2023 on Friday September 30, 2022 @03:22AM (#33031965)
It's now updated to January 2024

They also disallow updates to MV2 extensions in January, which effectively kills them off: "Chrome Web Store stops accepting updates to existing Manifest V2 extensions"

More importantly deadline is still January 2023: "Chrome Web Store stops accepting updates to existing Manifest V2 extensions"
This study was done in China. It is important to know the locals behaviour with regards to natural Vitamin D source (the Sun). Locals do not like to have "too dark skin" and as such are using sun screen with factor 50 and try avoid sunshine altogether.

This study might have different results in other parts of the world.

I have read somewhere here on HN that the E Ink scene (and price) is limited by patents. Can you share more on that ?

Are there any independent performance comparisons for x86 apps ?

(I guess not yet, but still worth to ask here)

Re:Ask HN: What RSS Reader do you use? on Friday October 02, 2020 @05:02AM (#24660594)
Feeder.co extension - it's even supported on Firefox for mobile (or rather it used to be, Firefox broke extension support on latest builds). It's easy to open all the unread articles, it's lightweight and fast.

I rely on white noise in crowded offices or when I just need to get in-flow quickly. So far I have used ASoftMurmur with following config [1], but working on a space ship seems cool and I will try it.

I am trying to parse the program based on the article above and comments on the link you posted.

> The first occurrence of a variable name defines it as that sum. Subsequent occurrences become the stored value.

With this quote in mind - why is second `SUM` reference replaced with `-138.95` and not `221.81` (stored value) ?

EDIT: Never mind, now I see it's an exception on line 3.
