i don't really agree with that view, but i respect your opinion. In my view, i see it more like someone who's never baked a cake before, offering you a slice, and whether or not it's good may be up to you to decide.
in some ways I agree, however I think that speaks more about the reader themselves. Just like when communicating with someone who's first language isn't english, I don't disregard the meaning and intent behind their words simply because the way they communicate isn't formally correct. Regarding my post that was removed, it was lovely to see the comments of people that had enjoyed the technical write up. Me personally, i'll always value an attempt at engaging and communicating than none at all.
personally, i'm for LLM and AI usage in writing if it helps the writer communicate ideas, their stories, and triumphs in ways they may never have been able to before. I just had one of my posts removed from the front page here which was disheartening because it feels as though what was judged was prose rather than the technical insight in to a niche problem, which seems counterintuitive considering i've always thought of Hacker News being an inclusive place for the technical and engineering skills rather than their level of the english language.

I'm working on creating the most useful browser start page for power users and workers in tech.
One of my favourite features is the iframe widget, which allows you to select any element on a website and turn it in to a widget.

Self plug: I wanted to have RSS feeds on my browser new tab page along with other widgets, and there weren't that many great options for what I wanted out of a new tab page; so i created my own! https://newtabwidgets.com.
I find the new tab page to be the ideal location for RSS feeds as I can quickly see new updates each time I open a new tab (which is quite frequently!).

I'm building a browser extension that turns your new tab page into a customizable, widget-based dashboard.
It started as a simple way to control my Philips Hue lights from the new tab, but over time it's grown into a daily tool I rely on for:
- Taking quick notes - Launch bookmarked websites - Quick weather updates - Track multiple time zones - Embed parts of websites using an iframe widget (with CSS selectors to isolate elements)
The goal is to make the new tab genuinely useful tailored to your workflow, not just another homepage clone.
It's still a work in progress, so i'd love feedback from anyone into productivity tools, browser customization, or just building cool UI ideas in the browser.
