May be an overkill but is anyone using it for coding? How is the experience so far?

The wheel looks good, remind me of a F1 one! Loved the dials on it! It's proper cockpit, gave me launch control vibes. The integration between physical and digital looks smooth.

The paddle shifts got me intrigued, how it's working under the hood?

Cool! I like the knobs!

Where are you getting your parts (PCB, etc) and/or keyboards assembled?

Can confirm. Instagram is also down here.
Re:Coolest custom mechanical keyboards on Monday December 28, 2020 @09:33AM (#25559440)
Maybe I’m missing something but last time I checked there was no ergonomic keyboard cheaper than 300 USD. Is that really the case? Do they become (super) less expensive when DIY?

This! I was thinking about this recently. How the politicians have failed to implement such simple policies?
It certainly feels that way! Also, imagine if they keep pushing it like the A series.
Exciting times. Maybe AMD will lose its crown to Apple next week?
Going to check it, thanks for the recommendation!
Re:Apple WWDC Keynote on Monday June 22, 2020 @05:38PM (#23607067)
Right, to be clear I wasn’t discrediting other accomplishments but it could really become “mainstream” now. Don’t you think?
Agree with you on some points, I’m really excited to see what’s next. I’m also betting on a new, and faster, MacBook maybe with a discounted price to incentive the migration?

About the virtualization, they will probably make it more efficient, resource wise? Some cloud providers are also offering ARM so...

Anxious to check the GPU performance too!

To add: Control Center on macOS and some other UI improvements hints for Mac w/ touchscreen?

Could we finally see a true BYOD, like Dex or using the improvements in Handoff?

Are we witnessing history being made?

Apparently the A12 SoC is running those apps effortlessly.

I would love to have a cheap and ultra small laptop to carry with me while I’m on call but I need to go to the supermarket for eg. Wondering why they didn’t try a lightweight distro w/ Xfce.
That’s really sad! Oakley was one of the companies that I respected. They had (have?) great products.

I probably watched all those videos, you could see the amount of work dedicated to each item.

I don’t believe any sunglasses company will ever put the same effort in R&D like them.

Seems to me that since the acquisition they started to use cheaper materials. Maybe I’am right?

Does anyone know how it compares to bootcamps like DataCamp[0] for e.g?

Could you explain?

As a sysadmin interested in the stock market myself this is really inspiring. Thanks for sharing!

Sounds fun, I will definitely research/try it!

Also, thank you for the book recommendations, already on my list!

Re:Ask HN: What Algorithms are you using to make money? on Monday February 19, 2018 @10:49AM (#16413533)
I was afraid so, no problem!

How did you start?

How much user intervention does the system require? It buys/sells shares by itself?

How diverse is your portfolio?

would you mind recommending some material?

Thanks for your time!

Just read your profile, sounds really interesting! Can you talk about it? I would love to hear more!
Re:Chrome 68 will mark all HTTP sites as “not secure” on Thursday February 08, 2018 @09:10PM (#16337361)
If I understand correctly, Chrome shows that "Secure" label on sites using HTTPS.

What bothers me is that non technical users will start to trust the same "Secure" label.

On phishing, what stops someone from registering a shady domain and securing it w/ Lets Encrypt?

Re:Apple Reports First Quarter Results on Thursday February 01, 2018 @05:46PM (#16286690)
Makes sense! I would love to hear more about that method (if it's something you can talk about)

Anyone here had luck with some kind of alternative treatment?

I believe they changed the keyword to "badidea".
Wasn't Opera sold to a unknown company?

Too soon to calculate the damage on the markets and how long until recovery?
