Isn't that his point though ? Their plan seems to half-ass touch support (i.e. the menu bar, minimize/close buttons, etc. all stay in their current size), so it seems like a waste of hardware to include a touch screen just for very little functionality. If instead they make the UI friendly to fat fingers, they'd very much affect the mouse/trackpad experience.
Pen support sounds 10x more useful than touch, particularly when they already have a pen for the iPad.
Because it is the reason the US is a tech hub in the first place ?
No immigration means no concentration of talent, which means companies would just move to a country that allows that (e.g. Ireland) and they'll take their high-paying jobs with them.
BYD targets a different market. Tesla should compete with the likes of Polestar, Rivian, maybe Porsche if they dare but I'd take any of those before a Tesla any day of the week.
In the US*
In the rest of the world, with Korean-produced vehicles, they do much better
On the PlayStation VR 2, there is Resident Evil 4 and 8. I'd never cared for those games until I tried them in VR. I'd argue is more like a good game with decent VR support rather than a good "VR" game though. That's also the case for things like Hitman, No Man's Sky, Metro Awakening and such.
And then there are the racing sims. I find these are such an immersive experience it reaches an uncanny-valley type feeling for me, where my body is expecting G-forces that never come, or gets confused with the steering wheel not being the exact same size as my eyes are seeing. It's great though, and definitely recommended if you enjoy cars at all.
True, but you can just swap in a spare set of charged batteries and you are back online instantly.
> It adds a questionable improvement in graphics and immersion at the incredibly high cost of excluding yourself from the real world.
That's a feature for a good number of games, if not most. For example, Resident Evil 4/8 in VR are by far the best horror experiences I've had, and part of it is that you stop seeing your living room while playing.
> The motion controls in VR will also always be severely limited by the fact that you can’t see your surroundings.
There is zero chance that aiming with a controller is more intuitive than point-and-shoot. What I get from your comment is that the movement can be awkward which is absolutely true, but plenty of games have neat ways around that. And then there are games that require no actual movement, like racing games with a sim setup.
What bothers me is that despite all of that pain, they still let through a ton of low-effort app clones in their store, which sometimes even come up before the original ones. If you search for GTA you get a ton of lookalikes, some of which even use screenshots of GTA V which clearly aren't the actual game.
> both of them are quite shitty
That's equally as useful as saying jaywalking and mass murder are both crimes
What do you think "Homegrowns are next" means exactly ?
I got a razer blade that is around the same price as a macbook. At first it seemed like great build quality, but after replacing an inflated battery, an SSD that liked to shut off randomly and being blocked off latest windows due to the "old" CPU (this is a 2018-2019 laptop mind you) I've given up on it. Meanwhile my mom is still using my 2013 Macbook Air
I wonder if paying servers a commission on the food sales would improve things somewhat. At least it force employers to include that into the price of the items

There was already a $60M/year deal between Google and Reddit
It took me about a year to move to my own domain, but it was a great opportunity to clean up 20 years worth of unused accounts, so a net positive I think.
I’ve kept my @gmail address as a backup, though I only check it about once a week now. Plus, I’m free to use it for any new random accounts I don't really care.
They only have to be consistently better than the competition, and they are, by far. I always look for reviews before buying anything, and even then I've been nothing but disappointed by the likes of Razer, LG, Samsung, etc.
You say that like journalists themselves don't work for "a company"
YouTube had video replies ages ago and it didn't take off.
The trouble with audio is the barrier of entry. By the time you've wrote your script and managed to record it and edit it you might as well have made a video.
See you say that but I know if I had 5-day battery I'll keep forgetting about it. Happens with my airpods all the time.
But Apple Watch is part of my routine, same as with the iPhone.
Since when is a beta version of something "production"?
Well sometimes yeah, and then there is the nylon strap instead of a handle on the door for your $300K car.
I got the 512GB model and have been using it without any regard for storage for a couple of years. All my music is downloaded locally in lossless formats. I keep full-res versions of all my vacation pictures/videos and I also download a ton of crap, from videogames to movies.
I'm at 285GB right now.
The breakdown is 81GB for music, 56GB for pictures, ~40GB of download content on TV/Youtube/Audible and ~23GB of games.
I could _easily_ cut down on that. There's games I haven't played in a while, movies I've already watched, or even music I don't really listen to frequently enough to have it downloaded.
Safe to say I'll go for 256GB next time
> even when plugged in together.
Do you mean via USB ? Because that works flawlessly for me, even with the older lightning-port iPad version. Over wifi is almost always laggy though.
Could also be your car, I know mine has issues and sometimes even errors out to a Windows XP message[1].
Although since you mention Audible, it might be about the length of the tracks or something like that.
