Thanks! I knew someone would have the details. Are there alternatives you think would work in a distributed model like this that address these concerns ?
Always wondered why having the military running submarine units for commercial power has not happened. They have the experience of running safely in more challenging conditions.
Somewhat related. Just listened to this podcast about brainstorming and ideas, mentions Einstein and gave me some good tips about idea generation in general

Re:Red Hat dropping support for LibreOffice on Saturday June 03, 2023 @10:34AM (#36177027)
+1 the collaboration features of Google docs are so good, does not have feature parity with say MS Word, but I have not missed local apps
Re:Red Hat dropping support for LibreOffice on Saturday June 03, 2023 @10:00AM (#36176733)
Could you expand on the Google docs comment?
Dude, you have to write this up!
This is a wonderful project, I hope someone in the community helps you with a self service version, love the thought you have put into it and Thankyou for explaining the reasoning. You should share this in the Occupational Health community.
Such a fan of rotary encoders, building a hardware Sonos controller with them now

The lack of instrumentation for transfers like this is infuriating.

I used Transferwise for years until one day a transfer (US/UK) did not arrive. Transferwise said they sent it, HSBC said they did not receive, I was stuck in the middle and both TW and HSBC support were incredibly unhelpful. It got to the point I was looking up job functions in HSBC money transfer on linked in to try and understand the process from an engineer.

Somewhere in the ether must be show me all transfers to my bank account number with source.

Eventually the money arrived; I am no longer a TW customer.

Would love to hear more about the work item... (and interval training with matched music is a great idea!)

Or, taking a securities backed line of credit against personal investments. Making the purchase promptly, then mortgaging afterwards

Sounds like it could be replaced with rsync and a cronjob?
Great, please detect and automatically fine unnecessary horn use too
As this printer was sent by hp for review. I’m really curious what their take was on the verdict
Re:USPS Service Standards Maps on Sunday March 27, 2022 @11:39PM (#30826909)
Could you advise how best to submit feedback ? The font on usps labels is comically small and leads to numerous package misdeliveries in my area, have tried submitting feedback, cases go dark in the middle of conversations etc

I used to drink Dr Pepper 10 instead of regular, it was almost identical, how existing full sugar soda is considered normal blows my mind . Would you drink a cup of coffee with 10+ sugars? Alas it is very difficult to find now.

I look at these explorations as eliminating concepts that don’t work, bringing you closer to finding the one that does; necessary investment
+100 for this, I fought through bland math classes at university before using z transforms for antenna analysis in my rf course. Please please please start with the use case and then introduce the solution, for me problem, solution using tool x, theory of tool x is the way to go.
Nyc, indoor dining only recently opened, this and temperature checks are one the requirements, along with 20% capacity, no groups larger than 10, table service only
I can understand this feature. At my bar we have to record contact details for every guest such that they may be given to government contact tracers if a COVID case is reported. Currently this is pen and paper
Re:Uber secures right to continue operating in London on Monday September 28, 2020 @09:03AM (#24616177)
Often wondered the same, in nyc the cabs offer a check in with app (Arro) which takes care of payment (pre registered cc) permitting the rider to just exit the taxi at the end of the journey. It certainly could be better, unfortunately the app devs are fairly unresponsive .. perplexed why this is not funded more
Could you expand on this? Does the app have more surveillance/data gathering than other? Genuinely curious, feeling naive
Starts with dance videos, Figures our your preferences pretty quickly and I have found it very educational, the short format really cuts to the chase, It has prompted me to learn new techniques in cooking, woodwork, stretching... positive overall!

Re:Crontab.guru – cron schedule expression editor on Friday October 04, 2019 @10:38PM (#21163510)
The target names for install are confusingly different (default vs multi-user) , check that when enabling, works really well
Re:Crontab.guru – cron schedule expression editor on Thursday October 03, 2019 @09:23PM (#21154012)
, yeah the old fashioned way is possible too (I have to support both), systemd just gives a consistent pattern to make common tasks easy.
