The Fed is subordinate to the executive, even if it thinks it isn't.
If the executive is bankrupt they might use the trillion dollar coin loophole or they might just actually take control of the Fed.
Even when asked to do something illegal, your options are to quit or to be in big trouble one way or another.
If you do the thing then you're a criminal. If you don't do it, your employer will still do everything they can to make your life hell, such as illegally firing you for insubordination to an illegal order - you might get your backpay in court if you're lucky later, but you're never getting your job back.
Who's deliberately doing it?
A "flood" of....Two or three apps in the last few days since HackerTube?
It's not the hackertube apps that are the flood, it's just the general slop flood that is the flood.
Power is being able to get people to do things you want them to do. It's become clear that you can do that a lot better with stocks than within currency, although you can also do it with a huge amount of currency.
GNU/Linux is only installed on a small percentage of end devices. Most are using Android/Linux, a different OS.
It's not unusual for someone to change their name when immigrating. Have you met anyone in your presumably English-speaking country who wrote their name in Korean characters? Probably not because they convert it to the nearest allowed name.
"no fly zone" is one of those things that sounds obvious but if you actually think about it then it doesn't mean anything.
What mechanism gives the US the power to tell Russian planes where they can and cannot fly? The US cannot simply mark an area on a map. It would have to, at a minimum, deploy a series of surface-to-air missile sites to actually shoot down those planes that violated the map.
so it couldn't have, as it was missing a necessary factor?
I am in Germany and I can see this is true. The general attitude here is quite nasty towards other countries, it's only tempered by lack of ability. If there is a need for defense then Germany should be contributing more money to shared defense projects rather than having a large army of its own.
That's the problem. When you don't raise a military (for example) you get conquered by someone who did and the same principle is true in economic warfare. Look at France, the government can't afford schools because it gave so much money to American billionaires, without using the same strategies to extract the same amount of money back from America.
Problem - I don't know what they should have done instead. In software they do fund a lot of open source stuff but that doesn't build economic power, if anything it gives it away. They make their places relatively nice to live but this doesn't result in a generation of people desperate to acquire other people's money. It's like they just coast along while everyone else hones their successful economic predators - if you think predators are bad then what can you do?
Please don't use the word "genocide" to refer to a decrease in household wealth, especially while an actual genocide is occurring. It devalues the word.
Even if the human's judgement is correct in every LGTM, there's a bias towards merging. Each merge that adds a feature but degrades understandability 1% will be merged. It won't be held back until it improves it by 5% instead. After 100 merges you have degraded understandability 100% even though nobody made an error.
It's an alternative to an Electron app.
Real hyperinflation is a possibility.
What you're describing is a shitty version of gradient descent, which is the technique used to train LLMs and other neural networks. Proper gradient descent simultaneously calculates how much every weight improves the output, and edits them all simultaneously in proportion to that.
Like a refusal abliteration. You need to run the model to locate the refusal though, you can't just stare at it
It's more like showing a pigeon a piece of paper with the DNA printed out in ACGT letters and having it cross some out with a pencil, then you put that DNA back into a bacterium and it's antibiotic resistant and grows twice as fast.
And that's a problem when a 2007 situation happens.
That would be an indirect incentive (reputation). The direct incentive is to add a backdoor.
For example Minecraft uses log4j to write messages to the console and a rotating file.
Technically you can configure it to send to other places - presumably. In practice you'd be better just redirecting stdout, tailing the file, or installing a mod?
I don't think people who want to exercise their first or second amendment right accept friction over it. In fact it seems to me that's been one major source of political unrest.
But those same people who don't want their first and second amendment rights to be infringed are okay with voting having high friction so a lot of people can't do it.
0. Make polling day a public holiday for everyone who isn't super essential. Make another polling day for super essential workers which they get as a holiday instead (people who aren't super essential will cover their shifts).
-1. Give everyone an ID. Actually give them one and don't just pretend to do it.
You'd open your phone and nothing would work, not even the connection to the cellular network since your phone company has management components running on AWS.
Truly, China has overtaken the Western world in innovation.
I wonder if the disk can still hold data at the same time.
From what I understand, he's on thin financial ice now because he spent so much money doing all that stuff.
Except ABC corp has $90 in example A and $110 in example B
No it isn't because the share price went down
He wouldn't be involved any more. It would be Aracle: another rich asshole conquered Larry Ellison
