Re:Pre-marketing your app on Friday June 29, 2012 @11:01PM (#4180327)
I wrote this article over at Mobile Orchard around the concept of Pre-marketing your apps. This may be common sense but not so much common practice stuff that's good to keep in mind while you build your app.

I'm also the guy who built the WordPress themes AppifyWP and Launchpad which is a theme to help app developers build a "coming soon" landing page for their apps before they launch, so yeah there's a plug for that too.

Let me know what you think! http://launchpad.appifywp.com

Additionally, we're still fine-tuning the algorithm that determines when to show what videos, but in general we want it to reflect what the masses think are the best...brutality and all.

Thanks for your feedback. It may not have been obvious in the intro screen, but we've enabled keyboard controls so that you can use your left/right arrows to skip back/forward, up/down arrows to control the volume, spacebar to play/pause, etc.

Knowing that, would you still want the arrows there?

Review Our Mashup: CrowdTube.tv

I'd love to get some feedback on a recently launched mashup idea. http://crowdtube.tv finds trending youtube videos and plays them like a never-ending TV show.Built on Django, we use cookies to keep track of what you've watched(may move toward HTML5 local DB...but trying to avoid register/login), and we use jquery/ajax to make it feel like a TV station.A little background:I'm always annoyed...

Re:Review my photo CAPTCHA web service on Thursday April 30, 2009 @07:48PM (#587770)
Very cool idea. It does seem faster than most captchas I've used. Would be cool to have the option of only one image, and be able to choose the answer in one click instead of via a drop-down menu. That would make it really fast (though probably less secure)
Ahh, didn't realize that. Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks for the complement. Yes the intro video is all Screenflow. Amazing piece of software. You're only limited by your imagination. Working on a few other tutorial videos as well.
I don't think Picasa 3 desktop software has face recognition. The new version of picasa Web however does. That seems to be the common misconception between the two product updates that launched at the same time. I'm sure recognition is in the google works for the desktop app though.
