Some conventions do. The issue is speed, quantity of printers, and whether or not the shipping costs literally outweigh the incremental yearly cost of buying your own. Card printers are especially fragile compared to zebra label printers.

My AP history textbooks did this, yet somehow was still searchable with ctrl-f.

Re:How crypto bros hustle people into their pyramid schemes on Thursday November 11, 2021 @09:29AM (#29188153)
There’s so many possibilities to get distracted and leave before finishing.
I've had a bad experience!

After writing a usb boot disk, it automatically switched to my external drive media instead of selecting nothing at all. I had to do another and after plugging the same drive back in, I wrote to the external drive media instead. I lost several personal things that day and paid for some recovery software.

The safe thing to do here was to not to automatically select some high-volume media.

Re:Why is the US Green Party's site blocked? on Monday August 09, 2021 @09:35AM (#28116588)
One of my coworkers ended up blocked because Amazon maintains a block list of bot like users and our WAF was subscribed to it. This coworker was using scrapers for find GTX 3080s.

Surprisingly, Amazon does not block customers they put on this list.

Re:How to Interchange Ed25519 Keys on Friday April 23, 2021 @09:52AM (#26914768)
It’s actually quite an exciting rabbit hole to explore with not many useful Google search results to educate on.

Opinions are my own :)

Looks like they are prioritizing a path towards being a social influencer platform. To displace Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, does facebook even count anymore?

All those NFTs, gone
This is really exciting.
