Confirmed at our household. Carmen, our dog, never watches tv, but she was entranced by Flow. She kept staring at it, then looking at us, and then looking back at the tv, like “Are you seeing this?”
The Making of the Atomic Bomb is one I read recently and really enjoyed.
I didn’t love the writing, but thought Skunkworks was full of good stories.
It is a little more character study but Dealers of Lightning is a good one.
I also enjoyed The Idea Factory.
And last, a little off the path of making things but Endurance was a good read.
Naw.
Hopefully, regardless of revenue you test your code. It’s just a question of if your tests are manual commands and clicks or if they’re automated.

Good question! It uses a web app. NFC reading is open on iOS, so when you tap our labels it opens up the page for the label.
It’s a pre-programmed to connect with our service NFC tag that we wrapped up in plastic to make it a little more resistant to the weather and a lot easier to just put in your yard. You tap it with your phone and it walks you through the whole process of recording your plants.
Yeah, we need to get something up about the pricing model. There will be three tiers. Basic is free will let you just label your plants and comes with every label. Plus adds the journal feature, the care database, and will let you share management of your garden for $10 or so per year, and there will be a premium plan for $25 or so per year that will let you make your garden public.
Not quite yet, but it’s in progress. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Thanks for the great feedback!
We’ll have standalone billing with no labels required in the next little while. We’re also planning to add a feature that will let you connect one label to multiple plants for that multiple plants in one location case.

A little while back I posted a little experiment we ran linking plants to the web in the garden. Well we got a lot of positive feedback on that idea, and decided to launch https://www.knownplants.com. It's a web application paired with fairly inexpensive semi-smart NFC enabled labels that help gardeners keep up with their plants. What do you think?
I love Jira because it’s a clear signal that a team doesn’t care much about their tools and that I shouldn’t join them.
The idea that there are no solutions is absurd. Sure there are trade offs with everything, but there are numerous situations where the solution so drastically outweighs the trade-offs that we generally accept that we’ve solved the problem.
There is a type of political dialog wherein one group says that things are so complicated that they can never be better. Usually if you look behind the curtain they’re benefitting from the status quo.
I will gladly admit I have no idea on any of those things. I too could not find anything saying it was happening online.
"As a supporter of Ron DeSantis I can neither confirm or deny if I am more accurate than an official policy document."
"Today we're joined by Alan Johnson, guy who gets too much SMS spam and won't give up on his mediocre startup."
In my probing there were a lot of answers that were "As a supporter of Ron DeSantis..." which felt like the replacement for "As a large language model..."
Oh holy hell, I totally forgot about that. I'll update the post, because this is pretty bad:
"Hi, I'm Liz working to elect Ron DeSantis. Do you have a minute to answer a couple of questions?"
There are messages where I attempted to get it to say inappropriate things that I didn’t include. It does follow their party line about what lives matter, though.
It felt drastically less biased than a campaign worker, so consider yourself only partially lanced.
In the back of my mind I was thinking there had to be a place to find common ways to break these prompts. I should have looked!
I was curious about that specifically with the 30 paragraphs of Loren ipsum. I will say I texted it a ton before that and it kept right on answering.
I enjoyed it more than I probably should have.
Oh, oops. I see now that if you click through to the website you can play with it. This is pretty cool!
Do you have screenshots anywhere?

I get it, but also plastic is fairly ubiquitous in gardening at this point. It's pretty hard to find plants that haven't spent months to years in plastic containers already. Plant labels are commonly plastic. Even soil and mulch come in plastic bags (if you buy in small, city landscape quantities).
All things in moderation.
So after a little more research, it looks like ASA would be the best filament for use outdoors. I really want to see how this PLA works out, though, because in my mind it'd be nice for a self-printed item if it'll last a year or so to just use PLA. They're relatively inexpensive and easy to print in PLA.
I’ve got some printed with PLA and some with PETG to see how they perform - I’m just going to give it some time and see what happens.
