I agree with others. 30k is way too low. Hire a freelancer (15 hrs a week)
Lots of limitations. We went with rackspace cloud. The startup is www.quoteroller.com

Story about me trying to register our company and device with Microsoft's App Hub to develop apps for Windows Phone 7. Funny and sad at the same time...
Hi B-Scan,
Thanks a lot for your feedback! Really appreciate it. I think we need to add a help tooltip there that says "start typing-in to get a suggestion from your catalog". The thing is that you need to start typing in pricing table to get an item from catalog suggested.
Taxes are going to be optional in next versions... say, it is not that often that in US taxes added as extra.

Folks,
We launched a new saas application www.quoteroller.com that helps to create awesome proposals quickly and painlessly. Would you mind to check it out and let me know what would you do differently?
Thanks
danke! We plan to implement more comprehensive analytics by the end of July.
Thanks for advise, next post will be much more descriptive
Thanks a lot for your feedback, we are working on it.
SalesForce integration is coming in April-May. First CRM we decided to connect with is HighRise.
Michael, I really appreciate your feedback. You pointed out issues that surely should be addressed. Actually we got half of your items in our bug tracking list.
Again, thank you so much for your feedback. It is great and straight to the point.
Would you mind to elaborate on profile page?
Thanks
Thanks a lot, Max. Scheduled for update.
Apowell, Awesome thought, thank you soo much. We tried to minimize quantity of team members and other items in plans so that we have capacity to add them up after application release. Right now all plans are free and there is no limitation on features. I've already added a task to create one more banner that says "Beautiful proposals in minutes. Check what your clients will get" linking to a live example of web based proposal. Again, really appreciate your feedback.
Thanks a lot for checking out Quote Roller. Here are some benefits:
1) Team work on a proposal
2) Ability to track client's activity
3) Ability to interact with a client
4) (in new release) Clients can sign proposal online
5) (in new release) integrations with popular tools [freshbooks, SalesForce, HighRise]
6) (in new release) mobile version
... and just in general... software is going to loose to saas. It is just more convenient to use web based apps.
I've been trying to do what you are doing just a month ago. I actually flew over to US to meet with potential candidates. Some of them needed base salary, some were willing to work on % basis.
I would advise finding guys that really know what your business is about. If your startup rocks, sales people will start knocking your doors.
btw, I just added you in LinkedIn
Hi Dan,
You can partner up with startups that are really hungry for reviews and exposure... just like us www.quoteroller.com :)
A little blog post and paragraph about our app won't hurt while would be happy to pay a little fee for it.
Have you checked Rackspace cloud? They are extremely cheap comparing to other cloud-based solutions.

Please check www.quoteroller.com - new saas that helps to create and send proposals.Just released and really need your feedback. UI, Usability, how useful is it. Much Aloha!
if you ever created a proposal, check Quote Roller. We launched it last Friday. Need feedback on UI, usability, usefulness of service.
all plans for the service are free till July, after July there will be just one free plan.
I would suggest not just trying but actually doing it for at least 3 months. If you enjoy the process and learn quickly [problem solving, creating something new, etc] then programming is your thing. I didn't play Mario or Quake neither most of really good developers I know. You don't have to be a gaming nerd to succeed as a programmer.
We decided to go with Tumblr, Startup is
http://www.quoteroller.com. Pretty easy and flexible in terms of customization, but, unfortunately sub-domain hosted. Once we get a bit time I think will move to Wordpress.
I really like the idea! I wish I lived in SF to join and participate.
