Good idea. Where is the pricing information? For some reason if you cannot create a sustainable business will you open source it? Good luck with your endeavor.
My response to all the people who says it is nothing just the team names
Check this screenshot of google teams http://m.imgur.com/a/eWLEf. There is a team name called viber and google doesn't own viber.
Check this news that came 2 days back:http://www.jbgnews.com/2014/10/google-looking-to-rival-whats...
Connect the dots. You can infer a lot.
It is information disclosure at the finest.
Smart thing is to accept it is a problem and address it. Defending to say it is nothing doesn't make the problem go away. The fault is on both slack and the companies who are using it.
It beats me to see so many Microsoft and google teams. Don't they have their own tools to do this securely.
Leaking of business conversations can have serious implications on many areas from financial to legal. If an employee leaves the company how that will be handled.
The probability of any kind of deal happening with a big company is very less. Be upfront about how much time you can spend with them. Personally I would not spend more than few hours. Also make sure the person you talk with has the power to make decisions and ask their intentions clearly. Preferably in writing.
The real truth is this poll is not a representative of regular dropbox users. Vast majority of them don't care who is in the board or even at the helm of the company. For many the thing that matters are whether the product works for them or not? Are they getting the value for their money? Switching costs . Etc..
Undoubtedly dropbox has one of the best offering in this space. It is highly unlikely for anybody to dislodge them.
