And the push back from the ai im using is the biggest learning opportunity for me. It is also why my preference is claude over chatgpt. I lose time when it always arees with me, eventually i work it out myself and have to go ack and make te changes. My Claude is very good at pushing back and explaining why.

It will be new factories designed from the ground up around ai and its benefits and limitations that really move the needle. Yes, totally agree. But we need more. As I wrote in an essay responding to Dario’s pacing the frontier, in my view, we need a stable long term supported model that companies can build around. In the same way that Ubuntu for example has a long term supported version. This gives companies time to build and adapt. The latest models can still be the realm of the frontier but businesses, schools, countries etc need long term guarantees.
Thank you for this, I'm a bit behind the times now on local generations and tend to use nano banana pro now when i generate although i used to use stable diffusion and automatic1111 way back, dabbled in everything around and Midjourney 3 onwards. The website shows me clearly where things are at. I expect I'd still like playing with Midjourney for more artistic styled work but it was the cost that drove me away.

I've had Gemini AI pro since last December and honestly (apart from nano banana) the biggest pluses for me are the addons, the google drive space, less ads on youtube, more nano banana, more veo in flow. However Argon is interesting. Don't like the split between the chat window and antigravity currently though.

I've been getting by on the Claude 20 a month plan for nearly a year but Opus 5.5 is so productive for me that I'm getting more done than before and still want to upgrade.

I guess the question is what do you want to do with it? Ive had subscriptions to Claude and Gemini since December and had a couple of months of Chatgpt but have cancelled that. As an all-rounder I'm extremely happy with Opus 5.5. If you had a narrower use case i suspect you can get more/cheaper from a chinese API.

I used Kimi 2 (or 2.5) with my Openclaw and enjoyed it there so took out a subscription to Kimi 3.0 when it came out. Found it functional but boring. Preferred Qwen. Am not going to try the latest Kimi but it seems to be giving patchy results.
