Ask HN: Replacement for ScreenHero? It is now completely unreliable...

Posted by chrishough on Thursday March 30, 2017 @10:51AM
from the ask-hn dept.

I have always loved screenhero, however, since the slack acquisition it feels like this product has declined in performance and reliability. Have any other engineering teams found a better replacement? If anyone at Slack reads this, what are your plans for the product? The server status page https://screenhero.com/status.html seems a bit outdated too. Thoughts?

As a remote worker I have used this site in many different cities. It is very user friendly, very accurate and up to date, and has saved me a ton of time finding the best places to work. Well done Darren and team. Keep it up.

with the recent heavy handed crack down of any NYC protesting, I would be worried of even attempting this. NYC has cracked down hard on freedom of speech.
