40% discount across the board is pretty steep and while doing the extra work of providing FedRAMP compliance.

Genuine public service.

10-15% discount was sufficient to get listed.

We were paying $40K/year for both salesforce and salesloft. Both got built into a simple app for the sales and SDR team. The new app is way clean and faster than Salesforce. We even hired a consulting agency to setup/manage Salesforce and its reports. That consulting agency is also gone.
I think the standard cyber liability insurance that companies buy will go up for AI generated apps in the near future. They and other business insurance companies are on the hook when things go south.

What the worst case penalty of the bad code/app?

This is the best one I found https://github.com/kenn-io/agentsview

It is a not proxy. It can clearly show whats going on across all agents. The proxy's are generally inconvenient and yet another point of failure. I think the author got to the resort option quickly

I was walking by a huge selection of programming books in the library and it stuck me.

What happens to the thousands of tech books written on the art of programming now? It is a sad situation for them as well

Re:How to Build Wealth as a Career Person on Sunday October 11, 2026 @02:55PM (#50046551)
In the capitalist economy one of the most important job is to build ones financial wealth and stability.

The employer doesn't do it.

Doing the day job is priority #2. Many do not fully understand this late into their career.

By then it is too late and late stage health problems start due to stress.

Most of the times the opposition doesn't get enough credit. It feels as if the winner did everything.

In this particular case the credit goes go the opposite side. They screwed up so much as to make this possible.

Re:OpenAI agents tried to bruteforce a UN website's API fields on Sunday September 27, 2026 @02:09AM (#49863815)
We only hear OpenAI and Claude models. Aren't other incapable of hacking websites?.

2. Most of these article do not mention of who initiated these bruteforce requests or if it was unintentional or a mistake or the model woke up itself and did it?

Re:OpenAI agent hacked Australian government website, PM says on Thursday September 24, 2026 @11:53AM (#49832473)
Is there a website to read more technical details on who triggered the hack and how it did work?.

The USA is the capitalist economy. The businesses do get protection and advantages.
Re:Meta tried to shrink engineering teams around AI on Thursday September 10, 2026 @01:23PM (#49647289)
If there is 36% increase in features shipped with half the team - that is a win.

Even if the new (half) team produces the same number of features it is a win.

Why is PR count or number of issues relevant for the overall outcome?. The article is trying to force fit the point their point about AI effectiveness

Re:Grok Outage on Thursday September 03, 2026 @11:32AM (#49551698)
We use it but limited to APIs. Their fast-think-2.0 model for voice conversations is a lot more natural than the openai realtime2.1
Re:Models Are Getting Dumber on Purpose on Sunday August 16, 2026 @04:34PM (#49323408)
This is so right. We training Whisper Large model on 20,000 audio samples specific to a domain and it ended up reducing the ASR by 5% while improving WER of the finetuned domain by 0.5%.

Instead we ended up with no finetuning. We give audio snippet to 2 AsR models, take 3 best transcriptions and ask the LLm to pick the best based on the context. That produced significantly higher accuracy in how an agent understands the users.

Re:What will be left for us to work on? on Monday July 13, 2026 @11:11PM (#48901830)
Key point:

- Work is shifting from building/doing to evaluating, judging, and steering — that's where human value will concentrate.

Other supporting points. ------

- No lab milestone or "RSI breakthrough" will suddenly eliminate jobs — economic impact unfolds gradually over decades.

- Reliability, not raw capability, is the real bottleneck holding back AI automation today.

- Historically, making work cheaper/faster (ATMs, radiology, coding) has grown employment, not destroyed it.

- Superintelligence claims misunderstand human intelligence, which is itself amplified by tools like AI ("co-superintelligence").

It is not a good idea to compress articles like this but there are many of these opinions to read and trying to get to the point quickly to uncover new viewpoints.

Re:Write code like a human will maintain it on Friday July 10, 2026 @11:00AM (#48860922)
This is a good example of AI native thinking. Teach AI everything and ask it if it has learnt throughly learnt. The results are surprisingly good.

I am following similar steps from this article https://www.lucasfcosta.com/blog/backpressure-is-all-you-nee...

Re:You need a webring on Sunday July 05, 2026 @07:40PM (#48799091)
The what and how parts are good but "why webring?" needs to be explained more.

If the content is summarized and personalized for the user the search engine is already rendering similar pages.

This is awesome. Your comparison make it easy. This approach makes perfect sense to give 100% visibility into the back and forth.

Is it possible to add a simple browser page to brows the data in a simple way?. Thank you.

The problem with articles like this one is, they give ways to become efficient at handling more addiction, at the individual level. Nothing for others part of this, companies developing the software and organizations employing these tools.

Summary of the addiction management tips from the article.

1. Time-box your AI coding sessions with a clear goal and a hard end time.

2. Separate exploration (testing ideas) from execution (shipping code) to avoid losing focus.

3. Prioritize sleep, hard stops, and actual recovery as essential maintenance, not just wellness.

4. Invest in structured training to move from basic usage to advanced multi-agent workflows.

5. Personalize your AI workflow to fit your needs while actively avoiding common anti-patterns.

When a developer stops writing code and starts using Claude to handle multiple projects at once, they are essentially managing the outcomes.

They have become 10x engineering managers. The context strain and emotional strain is overwhelming.

Re:Claude, please stop trying to memorize random crap on Friday July 03, 2026 @01:10PM (#48777316)
The author says

>> We don't really write code by hand anymore.

The software world is very close to building a super intelligent senior software developer. Companies like this will ask all the best things a software engineer does automatically. Now claude will add it into the coding agents itself.

Damn, I didn't see this coming.

Its first the build the intelligent builder. We will figure out what we want to build later.

Edit: Before more people take it seriously. This is sarcasm. I don't wish this.

This is a very good pledge to have all humans to sign up for anywhere on the globe.

This particular word, with no other specifc identities after that, takes the air out of this massive effort and gives the impression it is a localized effort.

My requirement was to keep the laptop on with the lid closed. Sleep normally when idle but wake up when a nomachine request comes in.

I will see how this app fits into my specific need.

I have to check this on Mac Sequoia 15.7

This is great. Will check it.

Recently I bought a usb-c empty external monitor card to prevent mac from going to sleep. There are many of these external monitor simulators on Amazon.

I still see the laptop go to sleep many times with the external monitor simulator.

This is the one I bought.

It is interesting that there is no public announcement from the US government or Anthropic on this topic. That means there is no form to apply to be a trusted partner.

Does it mean US is allowing accessing to governments' exclusive list?

>> We are taking this short-term step because we believe it is the strongest path...

>>During this preview, we will continue testing and coordinating closely with partners as we work toward broader availability.

Instead of generating negative publicity, can't they just wait for the preview period to get over?.

What does openAI announce when they know others can't access it?. Curious question - what do they gain from this?

Re:The Exhaustion of Talking to a Tool on Friday June 26, 2026 @12:36PM (#48688650)
AI is the new dope for developers.

Introverts are first line of serious addicts.

ADHD developers are next.

Procrastinators are after that.

Re:Elastic lays off 7% of employees on Wednesday June 24, 2026 @11:55PM (#48668664)
Unfortunately Elastic lost -60.54% market value in the last 5 years. Negative net income every year since going public.

The underlying message is a lot clear - they are a public company. They have to do this and more show to net positive income to keep the market value from falling further.

Companies can keep the employees with market value drop but it gets hard with negative income. Salesforce also lost ~37% value in last 5 years but they still print billions in net income every year.

The same story with companies like Gitlab. They lost 75% market value and negative income since going public.

If you read the linked article it says the leaked data screenshot of some employees private conversation in plain text and other performance information.

It was a bold move to do full screen recording and hoping they would anonymize it.

Re:Your brain was never designed for this much bad news on Sunday June 21, 2026 @05:38PM (#48622845)
It is natural that early brain evolved to handle "negativity bias" from local dangers, not 24/7 exposure to worldwide bad news.

But the author missed some key nuances.

- Whether a news is good or bad depends on the person.

- The same news is seen as good by one person but as bad news by another or not news by some. Good and bad is too general categorization.

- People seek out news naturally to expand the awareness. The author appear to make the point people are forced to know.
