Ask HN: Who uses pm2 for production deployment?

A very common tech stack when deploying on AWS us using pm2. - Till what scale do you usually end up using pm2 before moving to K8s? - Do you use pm2 only for nodejs applications, or for above languages too? - Are there better alternatives to pm2?

I wrote a small python package call r_Freeze: https://github.com/chinmayshah99/r_freeze.

It essentially scanned all the R files in a given directory and generates a file with all external packages that are used by the program.

Its super useful when the R code/ directory doesn't have requirements.txt or basically list of packages that need to be installed.

Looks promising and definitely that can have a huge commercial value. I'm curious about how you establish context for code-search? Also, how do you decide on how to rank the result based on a single string?

Re:Show HN: Get Your New Year Goals in Inbox Daily on Friday January 03, 2020 @04:59PM (#21950831)
Excited to share a small project I put up in the first 2 days of the new year. New year resolutions usually break in 20 days. But what if you get a daily reminder in your email. Probably you could hold to goals a bit longer!

Using Surge to host frontend, and hosting backend on ec2. Couldn't use Netlify/ Github pages without enforcing HTTPS. Any suggestion on how to enforce HTTPS for ec2 at cheap cost?

Building on top of docker. I can write in python as well as node.js with high proficiency. I do have some deep learning experience, to be specific computer vision.

Ask HN: What will future browser be like?

Be it web browser user or web developer, modern browsers definitely don't have everything we hoped for. What will the future browsers look like, be it look wise or functionality wise? Do we need to rethink the way we perceive browsers?
