Have you played Outer wilds? It's a great game that works like that.

It would be nice if this trend to fragmentation uses more segmentation based on ages and interests. For example: I never watch kids shows or action movies but my money is also invested on that kind of content.

It wouldn't be nice if in an human exploration on outer space we find a container full of unknown harmful waste from another civilization. That shouldn't be our first option.

I'm talking about culture in its general concept as the "cumulative deposit of knowledge, experience, beliefs, values, attitudes, meanings..." I say it taking in account that changes in human behavior are not an abrupt jump from white to black.

Feeling attached to that kind of judgements is part of culture. Luckily culture changes trough time, this news opens the possibility that in some years this alternative could be as respectful as sustainable.

Well, is obvious I'm talking about a personal anecdote. Did I cite any investigation?
For the family of that girl and her close circle that is the image they have of the vaccine. I'm not saying the vaccine cause paralisis. I'm saying that for her it was the cause, they still don't have another explanation (no gillan-barre, nor wierd infection). Thats why in Colombia just a few people will allow to get that vaccine, out there you will find few cases like the one of my friend, but enough to make most woman reject its aplication.
Its just a view from that population perspective and why it impacts on the acceptance of the drug.

There are a lot of questions around Gardasil vaccine.
I have a friend that had the vaccine and she has her body paralized 3 years for 3 years now. She's 17 years old, living in a bed and suffering depression. I know there could be another cause for her paralisys but the vaccine is still the most probable cause, so having the vaccine was her worst decision of her life.

We need to stop how big companies are growing. It's not sustainable. If we don't implement new strategies we are going to live in a well known distopic future.
You all have seen the results of a company that dominates an specific market without limits.

I can't remember in which version of encarta, but when I was young I spent hours on those 3D recreations of famous places travels. I live in a developing country and the access for internet was too expensive, encarta was the best alternative to do my homeworks, find cool images to print, and have a look of the world.
It would be great it could become free for the development of those kids that still don't have access for good quality information.

Is sad to know how the actual style differs so much to the original. I usually see the modern architecture and design and perceive it as a cold, spirit lacking functional thing.
The start of this project was a more socialy sustainable utopy but it became a much simplier praise for materials and geometry.
Re:Let's make them pay for using our personal data

Privacy is not an extra or a luxury thing, it is a right. If we keep this comoditization process in some years we are going to talk about an antidiscrimination price, or a true information price.
Re:Why Medium Sucks

The author says paywalls are not the problem but as a reader I don't understand why the autors have to ask for those high prices. The articles you can find in Medium are well written but they aren't scientific articles, with a lot of resourses and time invested to find some data. And the way I find those articles are more like a coincidence than a specific search for economic purposes.
I think internet is changing abruptly because of an unsustainable ambition, we are turning all interactions into transactions.

Finally I've found at least one coment related to this point. Everyone seems so atonished because of a new alternative for monetization, they forgot that privacy is a right that tech companies must fulfill. We are running fast towards a content distopy.

I don’t get how this is a value proposition. Privacy should be included in any service related to technology and data. It’s not a plus, they are trying to charge for an obligation. We are losing our rights for the creation of new markets.

It has a really high price for just a crank and a good design. I think that I could wait for the day games are launched, perhaps they will be long enough and entertaining. I still dont have much expectations.

Medellín (Colombia) is a city wich tends to modernism and is a great example of a place with no architectural value.
I think the problem has a cultural dimension as citizens praise "Coltejer building" (2nd in the image) as the icon of the city even when it replaced a much pretty theather.
Maybe humans get eclipsed with novelty and can't notice the impact of their creations on early stages.
