You can use Backblaze B2 with Cloudflare in front in the mean time.

Learning violin might help with CS more than you can imagine. Giving yourself a break from something you have been doing for years/decades is absolutely necessary and will get you more excited to get back to learning about CS and prevent burnout. I know i am certainly that way. However, YMMV.
Re:Teach Yourself Computer Science on Sunday June 21, 2020 @12:04PM (#23592785)
I would assume so. Using Intellij Idea helped me a lot, rather than using Netbeans that our professor insisted on.Netbeans has a really slow autocomplete and would slow me down a lot, however Intelllij's autocomplete would pop immediately and would learn from my usage.
Re:Scaleway offers 75GB of free Object Storage per month on Thursday June 18, 2020 @04:05PM (#23567349)
Hello everyone, i just got this email from Scaleway about their Object Storage and i thought i would post about it here, since HN helped me choose my Object Storage provider(Backblaze) before.

Disclaimer: I do not endorse any products of Scaleway, i am not even a customer(i used to be though), i just thought it is a good deal and maybe some people can share their opinions on Scaleway(previously Online.net)

Re:AWS said it mitigated a 2.3 Tbps DDoS attack on Wednesday June 17, 2020 @05:50PM (#23557206)
Did you try to contact the provider to provide(heh) an explanation?
Re:Bootstrap 5 alpha on Tuesday June 16, 2020 @07:11PM (#23545484)
As a novice in front end stuff, i have tried Bootstrap Studio but i found it to complicated to use and have since coded my websites through documentation and examples.Perhaps if i have stuck through the learning curve i would prefer it. Templates can help you a lot but be careful.Extending the template to fit your needs does require work and knowledge
Going into fullscreen(F11) causes the video to zoom(i would say 50%) and causes a degradation in quality and a loss of field of view.
Re:Twilio Super Sim – Public Beta on Saturday June 13, 2020 @07:27PM (#23513745)
How does this compare to buying some Internet with Legs sim cards which offer 200MB per month for free(includes Europe and USA) https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-X-THREE-3-NETWORK-INTERNET-WITH-...
Care to share a link?
I really like your business idea, also nice looking website!Best of luck

Any reason for the barrel and screw set to cost 360$?Is it the material?Couldn't you use a steel tube and a wood drill bit?
Have a look at Hetzner also.I also used Scaleway since i a am french but i found better performance on Hetzner(i use the CPX11 for 4.19E)

Re:Show HN: Caddy 2 on Monday May 04, 2020 @02:42PM (#23071705)
Hi mholt!, I am building an ecommerce SaaS.Obviously,i will have each domain pointed to my server. Is Caddy a good choice for automatically getting a certificate for each website? Are there any limitations? Thanks!
Perhaps they are talking about a paid service that they offer, like Cloudflare Stream https://www.cloudflare.com/products/cloudflare-stream/
I did try it,however i do not remember if it made any difference.Perhaps i didn't configure it properly?
Hi, i have a Thinkpad L450 and when i was looking at switching to Ubuntu on my laptop, i saw that it had worse batery life than windows,i don't remember how much, maybe 10-15%?Do you have any experience on that?Battery life is pretty important for when i take my laptop on courses(not anymore eh)
Re:Stripe keeps terminating my account on Tuesday April 21, 2020 @08:24AM (#22934281)
UPDATE: I got my account back,i don't know if it was due to @edwinwee since he didn't get back to me yet.
Re:Stripe keeps terminating my account on Monday April 20, 2020 @11:30AM (#22924750)
That might be my plan too.Copy pasted answers despite my length and detailed questions are quite off putting. Also, saying that i am a high risk business while other bigger companies like Shopify is fine,it's also quite immoral.
Just moved from Scaleway to Hetzner's new AMD Epyc VPSs.Will see how it turns out.The CPX11 for 4.19/month seems a bargain.Their network seem a little slow though...With scaleway i was getting consistently Gigabit D/U.Now i sometimes get below 100mbps on hetzner.

>being so early in the morning, it may trigger a fraud alert.

It is a possibility, however it was 03:38AM in my country. On Stripe HQ it was an evening :)
