Re:Ask HN: Who's hiring Google Sheets wizards in 2026? on Monday November 02, 2026 @06:23PM (#50345596)
If I needed that, I’d use a LLM.
It is frustrating and makes me close a lot of sites
Re:Amazon made the AUX input on older Alexa devices less useful on Saturday October 31, 2026 @09:51PM (#50322052)
It's disappointing that they couldn't have just left this feature in. If a few folks were using it and it was already supported, I don't see how it could have been that expensive for Amazon to keep offering it.

I don’t think they’re gonna be long for the world

Well, good luck in professional development then. Love it or hate it, this is the way everything is moving.

Right? I don’t know why anybody would trust this company for anything.
Re:LiteLLM Security Update on Thursday October 22, 2026 @12:19AM (#50191126)
I appreciate the detailed analysis in this blog post. It highlights how the security landscape has changed. AI session logs need to be guarded and secured.

I don’t think it is safe under any circumstance to continue using API keys or any long-lived credentials at this point. The risk is too high.

Re:The Developer Communication Handbook on Monday October 19, 2026 @08:17AM (#50151479)
I think it’s AI slop
This is unrelated to the posted article
How do you implement that with web apps?
Also, the site looks spammy. They want you to sign in just to read the blog post.
I mean, the last two presidents we’ve had in the US were cognitively challenged geriatric puppets. I don’t see how it could be worse.
This is old news at this point.
Re:Why Clay Has an AI Writing Policy on Sunday October 18, 2026 @02:12PM (#50143731)
I would love it if Clay adopted a similar policy for the AI generated emails they enable GTM customers to spam people with.
Re:What's New in React 19.3 and How It Changes UI Development on Saturday October 17, 2026 @10:05PM (#50137154)
Yes. It prevented me from reading, so I moved on.
Re:Show HN: Put AI to work across your company on Saturday October 17, 2026 @06:55PM (#50135921)
I don’t get why anyone would pay for AI slop like this. You could build it yourself if you wanted something like this.
Re:What's New in React 19.3 and How It Changes UI Development on Saturday October 17, 2026 @06:49PM (#50135890)
I find it ironic that this is a site dedicated to front-end development and it doesn’t render correctly on mobile devices.
Re:VedaOS: The First Intelligent Hobby OS on Saturday October 17, 2026 @06:34PM (#50135809)
I agree. I don’t find it interesting either.
Re:How the Claude Code team does code review on Saturday October 17, 2026 @07:48AM (#50130241)
Anthropic is doing some fascinating work. However, I find their communication style frustrating. It’s clear to me their employees have near unlimited token budgets. When Anthropic team members share their internal processes, I feel they don’t appreciate the constraints that many of us face in our work with budgets.
Re:Tesla Roadster on Saturday October 17, 2026 @07:17AM (#50130056)
I doubt it
Re:Frontier SRE agent trained by Datadog on Thursday October 15, 2026 @05:42PM (#50110740)
I was hoping that this would be an open weight model, but I understand why it wouldn’t be in Datadog’s interest for this to be the case when they’re trying to sell Bits.
I can’t wait till somebody figures out how to reverse engineer these with a LLM so we can just sync the scale data ourselves. I purchased one of these devices, but I am somewhat regretting my decision now.
Re:New Apple TV 4K on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @06:22AM (#50085277)
I am not talking about ads within podcasts. When I am listening to an episode that I have in my library, I will get recommendations on other podcasts that I might like in the UI. Apple doesn’t give them the treatment that they are ads, but as far as I’m concerned, they are ads.
Re:Apple: Switch to Safari (From Chrome) on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @06:21AM (#50085264)
My only complaint about Safari is I wish Apple would fully adopt PWA standards on iOS. I believe they don’t want to because it would make the App Store less necessary.
Re:New Apple TV 4K on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @10:54PM (#50081833)
> Apple (mostly) isn’t in the business of selling ads. I’d certainly trust this over most other options.

Do you not use the same Apple App Store, Apple Maps, and Apple Podcast apps I use? The ads are becoming a real problem.

Re:New Apple TV 4K on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @10:53PM (#50081827)
Maps, the App Store, and the Apple Podcast apps are great examples of this.

It infuriates me that Apple Podcast slips in ads for podcasts I have no interest in as suggestions. As far as I can tell, there’s no way to disable that “feature”.

I am curious if anybody’s actually going pay nine dollars for this.
