I´m always baffled by the fact that PIX discussions (almost?) never address issues of privacy: the whole system is offered (and run) by the Brazilian central bank. Due to its popularity here, the central bank has enormous, detailed and live insight into a citizen´s financial life.

Even the dullest and most unimaginative civil servant / tax office employee / security or police member must have wet dreams imagining all the possibilities...

Thank you, it seems to be working now, will give it a try tomorrow during the race!
Looks enticing! Regrettably a quick install (using the dotnet tool method, Win10) installs without error, but running the app results in an unresponsive window (both terminal and console), logs show no error... None of the key commands work (not even Q). Import data woks, but does not change the unresponsive window. Not looking for tech support, just making you aware that some additional steps might be required in the README (are there geographic limitations?). Thanks!

Hmm, not here: clicked it away once and it never appeared again (110;0 on Win10 btw)
For the more European view of flying an airbus, this also form a real life airline pilot: https://www.youtube.com/c/320SimPilot ; very entertaining and instructive MSFS and Xplane 11)

And, maybe, c) not many people have both strong verbal skills and strong technical skills?
Hmmm... comes close to lynching a ton of people, if you ask me. Never mind who´s right or wrong, the point is that we all agree upon trusting a judicial system to do this kind of thing, don´t we?
Re:Chang'e-5 completes China's first docking in lunar orbit on Sunday December 06, 2020 @12:07PM (#25324798)
After docking, it will head for Earth soon and then "Similar to the way a stone can skip over water, the return capsule will sprint into the atmosphere and then ascend again out of it, in order to reduce its speed to first cosmic velocity, which is around 8 kilometers per second, before landing safely at its designated site. " Pretty nifty... is this the first time such a technique is used to re-enter the atmosphere i wonder. Never heard of it before

Well... it really depends on how you look [0] at it

I always wondered why there´s so little of these technical approaches to remove greenhouse gasses from the atmosphere and all efforts seem to go toward achieving a (hugely difficult) change in human behaviour in order to prevent their emission.
Re:Cloudflare Time Services on Friday June 21, 2019 @12:39PM (#20244096)
Hmm, tried it out just now (Win10) and I´m getting a ... timeout! Go figure... (location is Brazil btw)
Never heard of this before... Links, facts, examples perhaps?

Re:1.1.1.1: Cloudflare DNS Resolver on Thursday March 29, 2018 @08:38AM (#16706474)
Interesting. It only strikes me as odd that neither blog linked on that site mentions it, and the IP address won´t resolve on any DNS server around. What gives?
