The "Kefermarkt Chruch" from Christoph Schindelar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nC6Q2wN-vfM

With the simple equipements, the result is spectacle.

I don't think the winner takes all mindset can be applied in electricity generation. But I think the clever arrangement between these technologies will work:

- Solar.

- Wind.

- Nuclear.

- Pumped hydro.

- Battery.

I spent somtime study mini-swe-agent architecture, one thing I agree with them is agent owns the conversation history, this is the right design for an autonomous agent.

We need to find out which LLM was used to generate this benchmark image, it is the frontier now!
Re:Google cloud outage takes down banks on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @08:20AM (#50165262)
I know some banks out-sourced most of its infrastructure to external operators, and some operator I worked with didn't seem competent.
Re:I Built a Drone with Only One Motor [video] on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @02:26AM (#50162088)
This is smart design and huge amount of work. Thanks the creator! Would adding a gyroscope help stablize the drone direction?

I imagine an alternative design with single motor mounted horizontally controls 4-wings like the dragonfly in Dune. It would eliminate the spinning.

Re:What I Self-Host on Friday October 16, 2026 @10:56AM (#50119158)
I think the screen size matter, 720p seems good on 32" but could be noticeable bad on 50". Another factor, if I'm familiar with the high resolution, I will notice the lower one easily.
Re:Thank You, Deno on Friday October 16, 2026 @06:27AM (#50116615)
Congratuation to Deno team for a great software and the recent move. I'm using it as my scripting runtime for the agent harness, work great, now I may go back to Node.js.
Re:Tesla Roadster on Friday October 16, 2026 @06:15AM (#50116530)
The rocket version is the real life bat-mobile to me. Impressive.
it's about signal to noise ratio. if you spend money for specialized device, it's a good chance you have more money in your wallet.
may be they already had someone without them knowing.
Does it matter? The door is open now.
Re:A Modern Web App in C on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @08:00AM (#50070297)
httpd is really minimal, it event doesn't have compression built-in, skipping it don't bring much benefit. OpenBSD provided a cozy environment for system operator by default.

The grid is created by wires, right? So radio doesn't count.

That is the whole different society that respect nature, help each other, well-planned...

Because their resources are limited, they use them very careful. Because the open sea and the weather are unforgiven, they help the others unconditionally and proactively, it's the duty, not emotion.

They contact to earch other everyday by many means, e.g. on long range radio to help alert about weather, emergency...

That is the difference lifestyle, not isolation.

Re:Friendship ended with Deno, now Node is my best friend on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @11:12AM (#49979717)
those features a great, but aren't what most of the people doing JS/TS care.
Re:Friendship ended with Deno, now Node is my best friend on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @11:09AM (#49979669)
JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystem is the stage of celebrities and superstars, and Deno goes the way of a boring technology, it had done many things right (ESM, battery included, all in one development tool) but it lost the spotlight. It leads me think about another technology: Unison, which is a head of the time but... not so many people understand it.
Re:The Tao of Backup on Sunday October 04, 2026 @10:35PM (#49960116)
I read all the steps, but not yet enlightened.
