Re:Why Emacs has buffers on Tuesday June 07, 2022 @12:47PM (#31657015)
"Document" can be puzzling when working on a directory.

A "buffer" is a transition zone the user can work/interact with (and sync to it's source if any)

Hi,

In Emacs, it is possible by using "follow-mode":

Open a "large" file.

M-x follow-mode

C-x 3 ;; to split vertically

And adjust splits width as many times needed.

I usually use 3 splits with "visual-line-mode" enabled.

Re:Ask HN: Best things in your bash_profile/aliases? on Monday January 14, 2019 @05:40AM (#18902062)
One thing I do is to put this snippet in .bashrc or .profile

  for i in ${HOME}/.bash.d/*.sh
  do
    if [ -r ${i} ] ; then
        . ${i}
    fi
  done

And drop some custom scripts in ${HOME}/.bash.d/ like alias.sh, env.sh

(my common .bash.d scripts are saved in a git repository)

The funny thing is the "share on facebook" button at the end of the article.
