This is my first post. Does there exist a service where one can leave a message based on location? Twitter is obviously great for message passing and microblogging. Facebook and Google+ certainly help bring us together. I'd say that the combination of these two services greatly help communities all over the world exchange messages. Throughout very recent history, it was made abundantly clear...

Thanks a lot for open sourcing Color Picker Pro, I think it's an awesome utility.

As for the calculator, it nice to see a different approach to a simple problem. There is, however, a line of code missing from the :buttonPressed function. For the case of kButtonSubtract, it needs to set deleteInput to YES.

Thanks for the awesome Cocoa contributions. Please, keep it up.

I think it's a great 'out of the box' topic to research.

Initially, I thought it was a couple of students who had pulled this off which lead me to, "Wow, what an awesome curriculum". However, the fact that it was a couple of scientists in research doesn't surprise me. It's still very clever and innovative.

On a side note: I'm very certain, having worked for my local school district's special education program during the summer times, that there exists many disabled students who rely on weak technologies as their way of broadcasting a message. (They cannot simply just walk into the classroom and 'text'.)

For instance, I was astonished when I saw this poor girl, in a push wheelchair, swaying back and forth a little bit, using a head button* to decide on a letter/word/picture/phrase sitting in a 5 x 10 table scrolling the x, then the y to a final destination. 2 minutes later, she said "Good Mrning". I can almost guarantee that a nice bit of software to detect a few twitches and movements is far more welcome to them.

*Head Button: Imagine the chair in the picture below with an over-sized arcade button taped to the chair's headrest. The display she used looked worse than an old Gateway of mine.

As I was browsing through your JS code to figure out how you end up positioning the words (vertical, horizontal or diagonal), I found the "naughtyWords" list to be hilarious. It was immediately clear to me that the developer inhabits the UK.

I don't care much for the financial aspect of this, but if it's the thought that counts, I think it's great.

If you can, take in some of the great talent (not just individuals) and rebuild! And the idea that

"They would have 100% autonomy over the entire “Yahoo! [Photo, Mobile, Social, News]” division."

seems great! Especially from the AOL/TechCrunch content posted here about who has the upper hand.

I look forward to giving this a shot. I have been used to the Terminal application on my iPhone, even with the gestures, and it was never any fun to work with. I saw that you implemented arrows on the keyboard, and I was in. Thank you.

Hopefully someday I will be able to do more than swipe left and right to navigate the system. How bout releasing a whole new look and feel to iOS by swiping upwards/downwards, which'll bring you to an open and customizable feel. Widgets I suppose.

I like it. I've never actually sent a fax out in my life, but for those who have one would probably enjoy the anonymity of this.

It would be fun to read love notes, breakup letters or random hate notes this way.

I'm not a Dropbox user yet, but the integration and simplicity of this task manager is pretty sweet. It would feel more mine with alternative background colors. Great job!

The iTunes redirect bothers me too, it's a bit too intrusive and probably heavy on some computers. I am a iOS dev and my links do the same thing.

I just used some of the 'classic' built in features. Nothing too fancy, just loop over whatever part of the song you choose however many times you choose.

I wanted to listen to my music in a way that my iPod wouldn't allow. So that day, about a week ago, I wrote an app to play my music the way I wanted. It has a big button, when pressed once marks that position of the song, twice immediately loops from the first mark to the second.

I felt like I had just grabbed a wrench or something and fixed a part of my life, but the wrench was Xcode.

For most of my college career I was set on continuing it further into a MS in CS. I'm approximately a year away from my BS, and there is no way that I'd deviate from this current explosion of awesome present in today's job market. I see a lot more enthusiasm for creativity and output, something that lacks from a few of the traditional college systems. Then again, I once heard "college is there to test you, not teach you."

Agreed. I work tech support here at my university, and the calls received about Blackboard are ridiculous and are always no fun to troubleshoot. I like the company name, 'Instructure', but where does 'Canvas' come into play? Didn't we just see that with 4chan's new shindig?
