Show HN: Snippets – AI-first legacy app: Record messages, deliver years later

https://mysnippets.com

I grew up in Singapore, spent a decade in the US, now live in Canada. This was my biggest nightmare growing up, when I first moved half the world away from my family in my teens...the one thing that jolts you awake at...

This is absolutely correct. I'd go one step further and say over-communicate as needed. It's not stupid to ask questions. Ask away, process, and clarify.

Makes me wonder...are there blockchain-based app stores that could serve as a viable alternative?

How does this actually work? His stock is just his collateral for those loans, which can be transferred if he defaults on payments?

Re:It’s time to give Firefox another chance on Friday September 29, 2017 @05:16PM (#15369292)
I'm on Firefox 56. Is there a way to see if my extensions (and FT DeepDark theme) works on 57?
Indeed. Can't wait to look back at this thread 10 years from now.

Come up with a way for them to provide anonymous feedback.
Re:Smart Photos on Thursday April 27, 2017 @08:08PM (#14215902)
Interesting post - I'm fascinated by this space myself. I launched a site (http://judg.me) a few years back with a slightly different take on how users perceive your profile photos.
Re:We Can Do Better on Monday April 24, 2017 @11:08AM (#14184865)
I had deleted my unroll.me account several months back - yet I still receive emails from time to time about the new subscriptions I have. They've not had permissions in my Google account since I deleted my account, so it's odd that I keep getting emails from them.

On a side note, Median looks fantastic. Hope you guys (just you?) go far!

How would you go about doing this? I'm at the pre-launch stage myself, and this is proving to be a harder than I thought. I've only tried Facebook Ads as of now, with limited ROI.

Can you give us a rundown on how you set up your site, and then marketed it?

Honest / naive question. How do you even start an aerospace company "in your basement"?

Not true - you can get a sense of this through ATA's Truck Tonnage Index.

No, it was just an interesting observation to put some context around just how massive reddit really is.

Onedows.

> User should not use watch in the same way they use phone.

Nonsense. Would you have said the same thing about people using phones only to talk when the iPhone came out? Not an Apple enthusiast, but I'm impressed with their efforts in constantly trying to redefine how we use "established" products.

Not impressed by what is shown of the Apple Watch, by the way.

This is brilliant. Thanks!

Are there any other similar apps out there?

Re:Nvidia marketing manager killed during train rescue attempt on Saturday January 25, 2014 @08:48PM (#7123440)
No. All MRT stations - above and under ground - have platform doors.

What techniques do you use? I read at around 600wpm, and increasing it by 50-100% seems pretty daunting.

Re:Smog over Singapore on Friday June 21, 2013 @03:02PM (#5920239)
There have been a few suggestions by the Indonesian officials on this - can you elaborate on which corporations exactly? I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I've not been able to find direct information on "non-Indonesian corporations" who engage in illegal burning, so if you have sources, that would be great.
