Re:Synchronisation and SMPTE timecode (time code) on Monday August 31, 2026 @04:30AM (#49507108)
A real LTC timecode signal. It was designed to be recorded on tape and used to sync multiple tape machines together among other uses.
Re:Synchronisation and SMPTE timecode (time code) on Monday August 31, 2026 @04:28AM (#49507092)
Did a similar thing too with a sample of a single square pulse which allowed us to "sequence" a Juno 60 arpeggiator.
Re:Synchronisation and SMPTE timecode (time code) on Monday August 31, 2026 @04:26AM (#49507074)
Sorry, yes it was MTC, not LTC!

We used JJOS. It is such an awesome upgrade over the stock OS.

Re:Synchronisation and SMPTE timecode (time code) on Sunday August 30, 2026 @02:41PM (#49501529)
We once had an AKAI MPC1000 running as a master for a "big studio" ProTools rig using LTC. Good times.

Re:Security Vulnerability in Pioneer Rekordbox on Tuesday August 11, 2026 @08:51AM (#49257494)
I will make my DJ friends test this. Thank you.
Re:Security Vulnerability in Pioneer Rekordbox on Tuesday August 11, 2026 @03:16AM (#49254469)
There are some DJs who lug their own Pioneer controllers with them. Precisely because they can make sure that their library will work! No other reason.
Re:Security Vulnerability in Pioneer Rekordbox on Monday August 10, 2026 @05:16PM (#49249868)
Truly terrible platform. I engineer DJ events and every single time there will be someone who had used either too new or too old version of rekordbox for the model of CDJ/controller the venue got in. This is seemingly random and totally undocumented. If I had hair I would have torn them out long time ago.
In the same boat here. At least still have a good standing at Microft. Lost goodwill at big G by what I vaguely narrowed down to self hosted images in e-mail signature.

And obligatory one for Slovakia with much better UX.

And Polish one, still a gen or two behind just like their rail network. It needs to be said they are investing heavily to bring it up to scratch.

In overlays that need to be explicitly enabled. Not as convenient as yay yolo.

We can also add npm to package.mask.

After going through most of the rest I settled on Elisa as a good amalgam if winamp and itunes UX. I didn't realise it is obscure judging by no mention of it here.

I would not be so sure with the 100%. France had a mutual defence treaty with Czechoslovakia in 1938. They not only chose not to honor it but U turned all the way and explicitly let Hitler occupy it.

Would you trust them in crunch time mere 90 years later?

Re:How problematic is resampling audio from 44.1 to 48 kHz? on Tuesday January 13, 2026 @02:48AM (#46598304)
Just to note that this site hasn't been updated for a while.

Much better, more modern and with automated upload analysis site would be [1] although it is designed for finding the highest fidelity resampler rather than AB comparisons.

Clipboard history? Screen recording? Polished web browser? And none of these are available on most distros?

I think you ought to try "most distros" before making such claims.

Re:LibCube: Find new sounds from audio synths easier on Thursday October 23, 2025 @09:00AM (#45681301)
OK Sir. Glad your synths are working this way for you.
Re:LibCube: Find new sounds from audio synths easier on Thursday October 23, 2025 @05:10AM (#45679829)
Sustain is not time, but level. How long the sound lingers before hitting release portion of the envelope is determined by how long you "hold the key"

pg_upgrade has worked fine for years now, no need for manual dump/restore

Nice one! I will be using this.

You are right I suppose. We pay it and then we can get some of it returned.
