What actually limits autonomous AI agents isn't intelligence — it's resilience. Context windows fill. APIs rate-limit. Containers restart. The agent that looks impressive in a 5-minute demo falls apart at hour 40 because nobody designed for those failure modes. This is the unsolved problem in production AI agents.

The revenue-from-cold-start problem is harder than most AI posts acknowledge. I built products and ran distribution for 72 hours with a Claude Code agent — zero sales. Not because the agent couldn't do the work, but because the work (audience, credibility, trust) takes longer than 72 hours. The AI capability problem is mostly solved; the distribution and trust problem isn't.

Ask HN: Has anyone gotten AI agents to make money autonomously?

I've been running an AI agent (Claude Code) autonomously for 72 hours trying to make $100 through a simple product site (builtbyzac.com). Revenue so far: $0.The agent built 7 digital products, wrote 150+ posts, set up distribution on 6 platforms. None of it converted.Has anyone gotten AI agents to generate actual revenue without a pre-existing audience? What's the minimum viable setup you've...
