Re:Astra can read and write weights to improve Qwen on Monday November 02, 2026 @02:39PM (#50342471)
You don't think an LLM can perform tasks not in its training data?
Is that even a risk? There's still Disney, Comcast, Sony, Netflix, Amazon, Apple...

What are you talking about?

The Attention is all you need paper has Google logo, not character.ai

It's not more expensive at all. They are all open weights models. I run them on 2x8xH100. They cost the same.
The deal ends in June 2029, which is before 2030.
> Individuals can make an informed choice to trade it there, rather than have it automatically added to their index fund without having any say.

Are you suggesting index funds need unanimous consent from all owners before a company can be added or removed?

When I grew up in Singapore, the locations of all data centers are secret by default to prevent terrorist attacks.

Re:SpaceX S-1 on Wednesday May 20, 2026 @09:10PM (#48216526)
How is SpaceX not making money?

Total investment is 20-40B, rent to Anthropic for 45B over 3 years.

Anthropic is also profitable now.

> They are just focused on privacy and are likely waiting for the time when local models become efficient enough to run on iPhones

How does that make any sense?

Re:MinIO is now in maintenance-mode on Wednesday December 03, 2025 @01:40PM (#46138244)
What's the problem? Surely people will fork it
But nVidia already sells servers (NVL72), and CPUs (Grace). Why buy a bunch of overlapping companies?

And no sane regulator on the planet will allow them to takeover AMD, Qualcomm, or Broadcom.

Re:Waymo begins freeway rides for the public on Wednesday November 12, 2025 @01:08PM (#45903525)
There are many race tracks in LA area.
Then why did Apple have a $20B a year search deal with Google?
He has great foresight, which helps a lot in investing and operating OAI.
The article says this is not a replacement for physical passport.
This starts shipping in 2027. I'm sure you can buy a DGX Spark for less than $4k in 2 years time.
Isn't that precisely what DGX Spark is designed for?

How is this better?

it's fine for simple use cases, but far inferior to the likes of GPT, Gemini or Mistral
I don't know if any of that is true. Even if it's true, why TSMC?

Will Apple, AMD, and nVidia continue to trust TSMC if it owns half of Intel?

Re:Qwen3-Coder: Agentic coding in the world on Tuesday July 22, 2025 @06:31PM (#44653754)

Re:Python can run Mojo now on Monday June 23, 2025 @07:22PM (#44361241)
Mojo runs on nVidia and AMD.

The competitor is Triton, not CUDA or Julia...
