Initial impression is too much information. Multiple things competing for my attention when I land on your page. Trim the text a bit and decide the order of importance of the things you are offering. .
I read the actual report. It isn’t scientific. It’s just opinion masked in numbers.
Just because some is elected and does things you don’t like doesn’t mean democracy is ending.

I wonder if NBA has higher % of players (employees) who directly work with each other where the difference is pay can be substitutional than regular businesses.
You can. Most children are not going to end up on HN when they are older. The stories you read here about hacking system at 11 are outliers.
I think you are not understanding me. My contention is adjustments of status snafus isn't going to be much different than K1 approval rates in terms of how people are treated. It seems by the numbers, people are treated the same as it relates K1 whether they come from a "right skin color" country or not. Why is that going to be wildly different when it comes to minor issues?
You have it backwards. Police shooting a white person will get less attention than if they were not white.
Most K1 applications are approved, most are female, most are not white.
I doubt your case would have been any different had you not been a "'the right color' and a high-earning male".
Not just pressure. Stoping SNAP benefits from funding these sugar and oil peddlers is a good thing.
Pure partisan spite. The gov't not spending money on candy and sugary drinks is good. Just like when Michelle Obama pushed for better school lunches.
One of the dumbest, frustrating things during Obama's Administration was the partisan Republican attack on Michelle Obama's push for healthier school lunches.
Democrats should not reflexive be against this just because they don't like the current president or HHS secetry. Same thing with the restrictions on buying soda and junk food with SNAP.
The supermarket is filled with processed food.
Black cat/White cat whatever catches the mouse. The push to eat real food is good. Embrace it even if you don't like people behind it.
Refreshing Musk is not mentioned here. He says some stupid stuff but he has made his money actually making inovative products that move the world forward. So dumb to hear him talked about as an oligarch.
Plenty of others making their fortune through rent seeking means that could be focused on.
“Lie”
I suggest not just reading clickbait headlines. Read the last 2 or 3 paragraphs of story where the writers often bury the inconvenient facts. Such as charges that would invalidate a legal immigrant’s status.
Millions of people who are from other countries are living perfectly fine in the US and not hiding in fear.
Seems different form of friction? Scanning QR shows likely there but not quite proof (can just send screenshot of QR).
If you think the country is falling apart and people are going to flee, then yes stock market would fall if those things did actually happen.
Well they should stop worrying. They will be fine. I suggest they don't make MSNBC or similar as their only news outlet. (and yes same for people who only watch Fox news or Newsmax).
"..as the US falls apart."
If you actually believe this, you are welcome to short American stocks. See how that works out.
Article doesn't mention the pay once. No matter what you think about this issue, this is total trash journalism by the reporter Samuel Benson and Politico. No wonder people don't trust news sources.
We don't know the motivation of the killer. Seems best to wait before inventing a motive.
"Immigration’s impact on wages, especially in the long term, is not as straightforward as “less supply → higher pay.”
"Restricting immigration might reduce competition in some low-skill job markets, but it can also harm industries that rely on labor shortages being filled"
So restricting immigration of low wage workers, would push up wages in low wage industries. Seems pretty clear.
Hundreds of thousand of foreigners were given work permits by the previous administration.
You can see all the companies they highlight in the report here. Many do hire foreign workers:
https://ips-dc.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/executive_exce...Clearly there foreign workers at Starbucks or there would not be protests:
According to the popular videos circulating over the Internet, Starbucks halted a few minutes of their services across the nation as a form of protest against the recent “illegal deportation of immigrants.” "We are stopping work for a few minutes to read a statement in protest of actions against our fellow workers," Starbucks Workers United members at the Ellicott City location in Maryland said in a statement during their strike on April 1.

This is specifically addressing the type workers mentioned in the article. Restricting immigration of those who would compete with them. Which ain't going to be your Nvida type engineers.
Pushing the agenda of supply and demand?
Generally any gain in income is NOT going towards the lowest rung American worker who are specifically being talked about here.
This is why you always told by open border advocates if you restrict/enforce immigration the price if produce will rise. Why would that be..
This from an advocacy group with a clear agenda. But if they wanted to raise wages they could just advocate for less immigration and robust enforcement. Restrict supply, wages will rise.
But they don't.
Interesting approach. How would you make money?
