Logged in to say thanks for the link.

If I may suggest - have you considered adding it to the Awesome List either at:

https://github.com/sindresorhus/awesome OR https://github.com/mhinz/vim-galore ?

I have two depending on who I give it to - Newsletters and Signups or people I hardly want to hear from = GMail.com and a Google App one for those I actually want to hear from
Agreed but this of course depends on if they store it on open repos vs Private repos.

We store our repos on private repos and we have a script on deploy to replace the wp-config with the actual server details on deploy.

Absolutely love it. Thanks for the share.
Re:Ask HN: What's the best way to learn Ruby/Rails? on Wednesday July 11, 2012 @05:30PM (#4231605)
You could give Capistrano a try. Works wonders for deployments
Re:Ask HN: How long should an ideal resume be? on Friday March 02, 2012 @02:40AM (#3655784)
Genrally this depends on how long you have worked

Fresh Grads to 1-2 Years of Work - 1 Pager 2 - beyond Years of Work - 2 Pager

Anything beyond 2 Pager should only be for C-Level

Re:Ask HN: Heroku or VPS? on Monday December 20, 2010 @08:53AM (#2024257)
It depends on your skill level and time you have. I personally prefer a VPS for the sake of control + the fact that you could possibly host multiple apps on it for the same price. I also use Heroku but generally only for testing/dev. I love the fact that I can deploy an app in 5 mins.

Re:A tale of two cultures on Friday September 17, 2010 @06:24AM (#1700635)
Very insightful article. I think Digg vs Reddit might be suffering from the typical "grew large too quickly" issue where due to their sheer size, they implemented more corporate/mnc type policies for handling hacks etc. By default most larger companies are anti-hackers which ( to their detriment) is what powers true innovation. A dire need to expose and solve an itch. Lets hope Reddit keeps the culture rocking

The Financial Industry is unfortunately plagued with such issues though. I had to survive with the exact thing until I requested Admin access and updated my boxes myself. Dropbox definitely has it right though with the whole dream machine idea. Kudos to them.
