To be clear RTP stands for "Reliable Transfer Protocol"?

Some interesting stuff here. I would love to see a numeric table of RTP compared to the other 4 you mention.

The loading jokes make me lol. Browser Base looks interesting.

The actual roast wasn't so great, but I had fun trying. Nice job.

Normally I'd criticize first in private, but I got this email from a no-reply email address [0] so I'll bash in public.

> no owners of any kind

Bullshit. You control the board and have full control on how the $7.5M in annual revenue is spent. A shareholder owns revenue streams of a company. You own revenue streams of your non-profit. How much do you pay yourself per year? You are the owner in terms of what matters.

> intellectual property...license

You have to have a lot of wires not connected in your brain to use such a misnomer. Copyrights and licenses are literally the opposite of property.

Licenses are slavery.

Ghost is a beautiful product, but it still is a bunch of idiots/cowards too afraid to make the leap to an intellectually free world.

Public domain or perish.

This is such a good rant, and I think you should develop it into an essay and I think there is an important catchy natural equation to mine here.
Re:ChatGPT Search on Thursday October 31, 2024 @01:22PM (#42009029)
Why would they ever want to sell ads?

They did not get addicted to selling ads, have billions in revenue from paying subscribers, and don't have to wean themselves off of ads (as Google and Meta would love to do).

Re:ChatGPT Search on Thursday October 31, 2024 @01:05PM (#42008827)
If they are making billions from subscriptions, why on earth would they want to switch to an ads business?
Re:Microsoft Earnings Release FY25 Q1 on Wednesday October 30, 2024 @04:52PM (#42000149)
· Revenue was $65.6 billion and increased 16%

· Net income was $24.7 billion and increased 11%

Impressive

And what biological test can one conduct that proves this, and is unchangeable over time?

Interesting that the examples you bring up are also things that turned out to be misunderstood and were not actually chemical imbalances.

> you appear to assume

Where do I appear to assume this?

Are you sure there is such a thing?

Patented medicines aren't medicine, they're poisons.

Always have been. Always will be.

You can achieve better effects than this poison simply by eating closer to how humans ate in the 1800's.

GLP-1 is just the newest patented poison[0]. You can achieve even better results simply by eating mostly like people ate before the 1800's.

Yes. Turns out everyone should have just been eating fats all along.
Re:How do you deploy in 10 seconds? on Tuesday October 29, 2024 @03:13PM (#41988267)
Let's take a conservative estimate of 200MB/s write speed on a Digital Ocean Droplet.

If your site is 100MB, write the new site to disk and read it into memory, kill the old server and bind to port on new server, in 1 second.

Re:How do you deploy in 10 seconds? on Tuesday October 29, 2024 @02:27PM (#41987800)
10 seconds, why not 1s?

We deploy in <1s. New sites, mods, small sites, large.

I like how it's open source and the site looks nice!

I missed at first that it was for aquarium monitoring. Makes sense!

Re:We're forking Flutter on Monday October 28, 2024 @04:40PM (#41976033)
Wow, I had seen signs that Flutter was something special for years, but hadn't checked in a while.

Some relevant data:

- Over 165K GH stars

- Over 140K subredditers

- Over 500K YouTube subscribers

The 1M estimate is at least ballpark accurate.

Re:So long WordPress on Monday October 28, 2024 @03:35PM (#41975185)
I'd like to take this chance to plug my new startup, the Printing Press.

It's like WordPress, but instead of digital, it's physical.

It requires no servers or computers at all.

Just paper, which you can make from naturally growing trees, and ink (I'm not sure how that is made).

Your blog will last a long time, like hundreds of years.

You can read it while sitting over your poo hole.

Visit our worksite and check it out.

I gave it a shot and actually find it pretty interesting. But in it's current form it's a bit too overwhelming. Is it possible to set it up Elo style? So I'm only comparing 2 core values at a time?

Luckily my second sentence was a joke ;)
