I did exactly what you're suggesting at: https://filesender.io

As you pointed out, it is a bit more constraining due to the support for WebRTC and users behind an SNAT, but I think for the majority of users it works well.

I'm getting the following popup when I visit the page:

  The page at blogs.msdn.com says:
The target of the callback could not be found
I really want to like Microsoft, but it's the little things like these that make me uneasy. Especially when you're blogging about debugging javascript.
Re:Ask HN: How do you log application events? on Monday April 27, 2015 @04:46PM (#9448969)
One of my java projects I use logback with a mongodb appender. This allows me to structure the logs for easy querying plus I have access to all stacktraces from all servers in one spot.

If you go this route, use a capped collection. I generally don't care about my old logs anyway.

Re:Ask HN: How do you take notes? on Monday April 27, 2015 @02:01PM (#9448026)
I use pen/paper generally for brainstorming and fleshing out ideas but for storing ideas and code chunks I use my computer. Notebooks fill up quickly - my computer has tons of space.

Ask HN: How do you take notes?

For the past 3 or so years I've just kept an open Sublime window and tabs for my notes but recently I've been trying Evernote. I really dislike the lack of plain notes in Evernote so I'm going to switch back to Sublime and keep a project on my iCloud drive. What's your note workflow?

Firefox issues have been fixed, give it another try!

Yea, we did see issues with a small number of users behind a symmetric nat, which is usually found at work. We're looking into ways around this and we're open to suggestions :)

However, you may still be able to send files back and forth if both users are inside the firewall.

What version are you using? We'll look into it and get it fixed asap.

Yep.
